3M Marine Fiberglass Cleaner and Wax, 9011, 1 gal

This has been recommended to me by everyone I know in our boating community and I know why. It is great for your boat with light to medium oxidation. We have a few areas that were exposed to the southern sun and will need the three step process, but for 3/4 of our 40' boat it worked beautifully and buffed up to a swirl-free glass-like shine. Awesome product!

I have detailed interior and exteriors on boats a for quite a long time. I have tried all sorts of products with many multiple step processes. Save yourself the hassle of thinking and just use this and this only. This is by far the simplest solution that will get you 95% of the same finish as anything else with the 5% being noticeable by people who do a lot of waxing.My input on if you need the 3m Restore/Wax instead:Walk down the side of your hull and rub your hand across if it builds up with a bunch of white residue from a lot of oxidation consider the restorer and wax.. but keep in mind its just going to take pressure as well as the 3m restore/wax.If your boat has been over 5 years or so in the sun without a really good waxing I would regardless do the restorer to save yourself the effort of trying to push even harder or use a higher speed on a machine with the cleaner/wax.If your still thinking just get this one the cleaner/wax removes oxidation and chances are your boat is not as oxidized as you think.

I have tried a number of cleaners and waxes on my boat over the past 20 years. A friend used this before me and I was sold. This is product is very easy to use and makes even my 41-yr-old white hull shine. Wipe about a tablespoon of the thick cleaner/wax on about 2x2ft area, buff with a power buffer, wool or synthetic pad until the product appears to be gone -- no wiping or anything. Just shine. Only comment I cannot make yet is how well the wax endures in the sun. It's been 5 weeks and still looks great.

3M cleaner wax works very well on most marine fiberglass applications. As long as you keep up with normal mantainence every 6 mo - yearly, this 1 step wax should take care of your project. It should be buffed out by machine (rotery buffer) and if there are colors involved you would want to apply a overlay wax on top.It should be buffed out with a wool pad.Overall it will do a fine job, as long as you use a wool pad and apply it evenly over your work area.Do a 4 ft section, over lap each section. Apply moderate pressure on the machine at 1st, less pressure as the product dries.

This product has been replaced by 3M buy it now or use the new product it close to the same.
