I recently went to Disney World and saw something like this on someone at a distance. It stood out and was so beautiful! She must have had 50 compliments that day and people asking what they are and where they got them! So I came home and looked around on amazon. I'm not patient enough to get the more permanent kind, I only want the barrette kind. But in the pictures, it seemed like the barrettes were big and would be uncomfortable. (They're not.) Well, I ordered a set to check them out. I got the color "colorful", and they look so fabulous on my plain brown hair! I wish I'd had them in Orlando! They are so fun and cute! My daughter's birthday is tomorrow, and I'm going to give her one of the sets of 6 that just arrived today, and I just ordered more. They are so fun for any festive occasion, such as a carnival or fair, or the zoo, or a birthday party! You could wear green for St. Paddy's Day, pink for Valentine's Day, and red and green for Christmas! I just love them, and the barrettes are small/sort of tiny!, and I don't notice that they are in! I love them!! I feel there are the appropriate amount of tinsel on each barrette. For my pony tail, I think 2 or 3 barrettes will be all I will use. Great product and barrettes stay in very well! UPDATE: I received the other brand of tinsel, here is a comparison: Of this brand, Hair Tinsel, I bought "Colorful." The alternate brand was "Twinkle Sparkle" in "7 Color Fusion." I way prefer this brand, Hair Tinsel, #1 because the barrette is easier to open and close on my medium-thick hair (if you have thin hair, then you might want to try Twinkle Sparkle), and also, I want every barrette to have all the various colors, that's why I chose "Colorful." So with "Colorful", each INDIVIDUAL STRAND is only 1 color, but you get a bunch of colors on one barrette. With a competitor, Twinkle Sparkle "7 Color Fusion," you only get 1 barrette with a lot of colors. All the other 5 barrettes are all one color, like 1 has all blue, one has all pink, one has all yellow, etc. So I only gave Twinkle Sparkle 4 stars, because I thought that they would ALL be multi-color, and because their barrettes are harder to push open. Both are so cute, though. It shows up nicely on brown hair.

My daughter loves these! They are perfect for pep-rally days or dress up days at school. She always gets compliments, they are so fun and so easy to use!

I bought these to avoid having to buy St. Patrick’s Day outfits for my elementary school daughters. They were an easy way to help them feel a part of the festivities without me having to pay $20 for a leprechaun shirt they’d never wear again. They were a bright vibrant green that was visible in my daughter’s brown hair. Each girl got 6 clips and that was more than enough. They were easy for me to put them on and I have zero clue what I’m doing when it comes to hair styling. The clips hurt them a little when I snapped them in (they’re STRONG clips) but my daughters agreed it was worth it and they held in place through an entire day of kindergarten shenanigans. I don’t know if they’d be re-useable. The tinsel didn’t get super tangled with itself during the day but it did tangle up in their hair (again, it was two chaotic 6 year olds wearing these things) and I didn’t have a desire to try figuring out how to store them in a way that I’d be able to use them again. The clips themselves certainly could have lasted through multiple uses and the tinsel was still firmly attached to the clips when I removed them. It’s a great product and I’ll likely get more in other colors for the absurd number of theme days kids are expected to dress up for these days.

I like the hair tinsel because they are pretty.They don't get 5 stars because they aren't that glittery and they're like a dark green not a light green, and they are kind of hard to put into your hair. But they are really long which is good and you can cut them if they are TOO long.

Cute hair tinsel that is so easy to use. 9 year old granddaughter absolutely loved them. The tinsel is attached to a small barrette which is easy to put in or take out for reuse. Nice colors that appeal to spice up your hair, but not permanent.

These have been great for my 3 girls. I love the clip option and how quick it is. It’s a great length for my daughter with long hair and my other girls we trimmed it to their length. I just love how quick in and out it is. The colors are pretty too. It stays in pretty well actually but I think I would kind of like it if the clip went sideways to get a better grip. Really though not a deal and the clip hides well under a layer of hair. Super fun Valentine gift. They’ve lasted many, many uses as well and you get a lot in a pack. We do hang them on a hair clip holder to keep them from getting tangled.
