This package was a gift for my sister. I bought one for myself and one for her. They are very sharp and good to use in every way, crafts, mail all things that need opening. I wanted her to have what I have, one in every room. It’s a big help when you’re an elder.

I keep several of these around the house/garage/ etc to open Amazon and other mailing cartons, cut into bags, lightweight cardboard, paper mailing envelopes etc. Once you figure out how to slide the blade in and out (takes a bit of pressure - i guess to avoid accidentally opening the blade and getting hurt) it works great for these uses. Seems to stay sharp for a long time with this kind of use. It is definitely lightweight, and so the blade is somewhat flimsy . It cannot cut through heavy cardboard or anything with any degree of thickness.

This is much easier to handle for smaller tasks. The large box cutters often are a problem when working around small items. I like the thumb tab mechanism for locking and unlocking the blade position. When task is finished the blade can be unlocked and retracted into the handle and locked to keep it in. The tabs are not likely to be accidentally released so that is a safety factor. Great price for 4 of them!
