This is a great product, heavy duty. It was actually pretty tough to bend a lip on it to use it for flashing. Should last 100 years or more. Very good quality.

Used it to replace corner flashing that turned to dust (with the neighbors roof on top). What a freaking mess! Repeat after me. On the coast, NO SOFT STEEL. Not galvanized. Not "high tech coated". None. For the pennies saved on material, it will cost you tens of thousands to redo when it all starts to bleed and turn to dust. This stuff is forever, so you won't have to do it again! It is very heavy gauge. So if you want to bend it you have to clamp it between 1 X 6"s, score the edge, and then hit it down with a block and a hammer. Then it makes a fantastic, stiff edge to caulk against. Protect against galvanic action: use pure copper nails (some come with!) and insulate against old galvanized by inserting a plastic sheet (I used the one in the bottom of a reusable grocery bag). They even include gloves to prevent cuts. Use them every time you touch it! I was a little careless reaching for a tool and nearly slashed my wrist open.
