Nice little way to expand the USB ports on a mobile device
OTG ports are the bane of everyone's existence, in my opinion. The need to have one single port that handles both charging AND connection of external devices is already requiring people to plug and unplug more than they need to, but now that there's moves to using it for headphones as well, it's turning the USB connection (or lightning I suppose) into a bottleneck at the bottom of the device. Since you're plugging stuff into the socket which is soldered to a board, it just adds more stress, and will cause failures.Having a USB hub hanging off the OTG port isn't a perfect solution, but it does mean that if you need to hook up a microphone, headphones external screen, storage etc, you can do it all at once, rather than needing to plug and unplug. If you've got a development board, like a DE-10 Nano, which uses an OTG port for all its downstream USB stuff, then you have no choice unless you want to find USB-A-to-Micro-Adaptors for everything, or buy a dedicated USB Hub.The box itself is sturdy and small. It's just large enough to get the job done without unnecessary flair. The OTG cable is short and stiff enough to give you the option to curve it back over the top of whatever you're plugging it into (like a mobile phone or dev board), and tape it down, but not so long that you end up needing to loop it round and cable tie it.The ports all work as intended, and the hub seems to be recognised natively by both Linux and Windows. Even tested it with an older version of Debian (Wheezy) and Windows (7) and it worked well.Throughput to attached devices is fair. It's not USB3 so don't expect it to win any speed awards if you're using it to hook up a backup drive, but it provides fair USB transfer speeds. All in all, an inexpensive, but good purchase.

I bought this for use with a firestick
It's ok will work for what I bought it for.I dislike the red led shining through the plastic.Seems reasonable value for money but not exactly a bargain.Comes with a guarantee for 12 months but you can extend this by registering direct, personally I would rather stick with the 12 months than risk getting the spam that generally follows on from registering direct. When suppliers start sending me free stuff I will be more enthusiastic about my reviews.

Works with DE10 Nano/Mister
Works great with my new DE10 Nano running Mister. The cable is quite short but it works pretty well with a USB keyboard, mouse and controller. Only has 4 ports and doesn't have external power input but it does the job.

Raspberry Pi Zero Micro USB Hub
The USB ports on the Raspberry Pi Zero are limited to just one usable USB port as the other one is for power. However, when you boot the Raspberry Pi Zero for the first time it will stop at the point trying to find a network. You cannot set this without a keyboard or mouse from the desktop as the system stops. The next problem once you sort the WiFi connection out is limited to SSH only. I want to do some development work and needed to connect a keyboard and mouse to facilitate working within the file structure directly. This hub allows you to connect a keyboard and mouse perfectly as shown.
