A Fantastic Wee Guitar!!
40yrs old, Had a Strat for the last 20yrs though haven't played in some years. Decided on a wee treat, a new Guitar to rekindle my interest in playing. The first think I'd recommend after reading all the reviews is that you remember - You ARE NOT buying from Amazon! You are buying from varying firms selling VIA Amazon. This may account for some of the varying reviews. I bought mine from "JunctionMusic".It arrived strung with 10's and reasonably in tune considering package and transport. I think it is a stunning looking guitar, Mahogany body, set neck, Wilkinson hardware - it has some quality going on as well. If I had to pick on a weak point, Id say the pots felt a little on the cheap side. The FIRST thing you should do though is put on fresh strings. Always. Then you'll get a feel. A bit of gain and the guitar was singing - very very rich in sustain. If you have never heard of Vintage Guitars, they are made by John Hornby Skewes in England. And should be mentioned in the same sentences as Epiphone if not Gibson itself. Check out this youtube comparison - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vjk2rdFXx2M ... I think the majority prefer the Vintage over the Epi though you may have a different personal preference. In short, yes the Gibson is probably the best but its 4 times the price. This is really a fantastic wee guitar !!

amazing quality SG
I'm honestly stunned by this product, I've played all sorts of SG's (except for Gibson) it is a really wonderful design it gives a lot of quality parts for a decent price but I have one issue with mine.when I bend the g string it catches making this little noise which bothers me but otherwise I'm very happy with the guitar.

Delighted. Arrived in a couple of days
Delighted. Arrived in a couple of days, packaged so well that it came out of the box in tune and ready to play! Must agree with all other reviews, this is an excellent guitar for the money. Must also give a big thumbs up to the seller - Hot Rox UK Music - who did a sterling job.

Absolutely great guitar
I've picked up a 2nd hand one of these, and it is the loveliest guitar I've played before you start getting up near the £1000 mark. I am not a great guitarist (picked up after many years) but it makes you want to play. I've been going to a band practice space and it has been admired by a few people. Ignore the low reviews, this is a great guitar for the money.
