Very happy with product and seller
I was a little hesitant about buying an expensive item from a 3rd party seller but fears in this case were unfounded. Aoshida contacted me immediately after purchase and kept me informed until product was delivered. Shipped almost immediately and arrived in perfect condition, well packed in 3 days.Have less than 50 hours on Gustard A26 so far but I am beyond satisfied. Worth the hype
Worth the hype. Expanded sound stage, timbre is natural, sound is clear as it can be. Certainly an improvement over X 18.

Just buy it. It's that good. Best start if anything for the money.
I was not expecting this kind of performance for $1500. Everything about the build per the description and specs say that it should be killer. But for that amount of money, is it? Its crosstalk measurement is insane at -139db! So far listening pretty much backs that up. Everything sounds distinct and right. The sound stage is well defined, deep and wide, really wide. About 100 hours of play is required for it to settle imo, and you're rewarded for not powering it off. Please ensure good room acoustics, regardless of gear you will be rewarded.I'm running my A26 straight into my PS Audio M700 mono amps using xlr. The speakers are Tekton Moab 4ohm, only using one cable per channel. Ps Audio P3 regenerates the power. I also use a roon core running on Ubuntu server using the deterministic real-time kernel. That is a huge improvement over the other available rt kernels I've tried.

Detail and Sound Stage
Open and Airy vs R26. The mids sound just a tad more natural on R26 but the overall sound stage is just improved with A26. Very quite DAC, silent background. The R26 was impossible to upgrade software. I use as Roon endpoint running thru Ethernet port. Buy it you’ll be happy after break in period. Oh the screen on A26 is better over R26 as easier to read and has auto off display to save oled panel.
