Lovely carving. Would season it first with food-grade oil for wood first
Absolutely fell in love with this cute little squirrel. I’m going to drill a hole near the edge, thread a thin green ribbon through it and hang it on the kitchen wall with some other antique wooden cookie molds. Can’t report how well it works for making actual cookies but if I did I would oil the raw wood with no-toxic food grade oil to season it properly.

Great mold!
This is the exact shape I was looking for, so I had to get this one first to try it out. Next, I will pick out one of the three-packs of similar shapes, like the slightly more twisty circle ones, maybe! I used a shortbread type dough with a mix of baking flour and semolina, and butter, with a bit of vanilla. To unmold easily, I sprinkled a bit of flour each time before pressing the dough in. I have also seen people use a brush to oil the mold each time. I had no trouble with it sticking this way though! You can make them donut-shaped by not filling in the center, which I tried for a couple, or you can fill in the center and add date paste or fruit preserves (I used apricot and raspberry). These were all very good and they look so nice. I really want to try different shapes now though. Also, they are good-sized cookies!

Cookie Mold
This is beautiful! A work of art in itself! I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I plan to asap. It arrived timely, in good condition and even better than described.

Cookie mold
Makes a pretty cookie, just a little cumbersome to get out of the mold. Better with practice and experimenting

good carving. a bit large.
cleanly carved, well defined lines. the cookies are bigger than I intended, but I should have paid more attention to the description. be sure to dust the molds before each cookie. powdered sugar & cornstarch, use a brush to clean out the crevices.

Great mold! Powder it first!
Be sure to liberally coat the mold with powdered sugar and roll the dough in powdered sugar before pressing it into the mold. Tap the side of the mold on the table to loosen it. Use a shortbread recipe to start as you don’t want the cookie to rise at all or the shape gets ruined!

Extremely
This company changes extreme shipping fees, over 100.00. It seems impossible to return. They want you to pay 144.00 in return shipping fees. Plus it is very difficult to get the dough out of the cookie cutters. AWFUL, awful, awful.

Mold not deep enough
Impression not very deep must use a cookie recipe that doesn’t spread when cooking in order to keep shape
