Hi does this come w a sword???

No the costume does not come with a sword, but we made a sword ourselves quite easy and it looked fantastic with the costume, we cut out the shape of a sword with cardboard covered the blade end with tin foil making sure it was tight and kept to the shape of the blade, the handle we stuck large gem stones/stickers to it making it look quite regal. It actually finished the costume of and looked better than a sword you could buy in a shop. I must admit it's the first time we had actually done anything like this and we are not very artistic, the child was so pleased with his sword, have a go it gives yourself so much pride.

Depends how tall your 8 year old is. My son is 4'3" and it fits him perfectly. Hope that helps.

Great costume at a good price. My daughter loved wearing it for the school play. I did have to alter the leg covers as they were too wide for her. She's very petite for her age 9years old.
