This DJI Avata does not disappoint. Wish it came with a FVP controller but other than that great purchase.

I’ve found the guards to be useful in some scenarios where I bump into or fall from a short distance but I wouldn’t completely rely on this to fully support the impact at high speeds. The guards do tend to slide a bit so a little work around that I found out is to use double sided tape before clipping the guards in order to keep them from wiggling and popping off after impact. On multiple occasions I’ve been saved from any major damage from the outside frame and only sustained minor inside prop scratches.

So I had a sudden unexpected sensor failure from just a few feet off the ground. One of the bumpers fell off and I didn’t bother looking for it. The second crash was much more severe, I ran into a telephone wire going full speed in S mode. During the first crash I did not properly adhere the bumpers with the included clay strips so that’s on me. I see these as a necessity for your Avata along with the battery latch holder because during that second crash the battery was entirely dislodged which can obviously make for a very bad time when attempting to locate your crashed drone! 5/5 recommend for all DJI avata owners!!

Not as soft of a material as I hoped. It's a hard plastic and I have to remove them to but the Avata back in my case.

Delivered on time and work as expected. They snap right on, have yet to test in crash, but I don't see why they wouldn't help. I don't see any noticeable difference in flight, but I'm sure there has to be some.

Any prop guard put on the DJI Avata will cause even greater instability during hard turning than the already known yaw washout issue with the manufacturers prop guards. A single hard left using the motion controller and head tracking was all it took to tumble 40’ out of the sky. Check out the MANY videos on YouTube describing the tumble issue and how prop guards, both original AND aftermarket, are DIRECTLY responsible. Do not waste your time. Save your money and your drone.

I got the bright green ones for visibility, in case I dump. They're great for that. I haven't noticed any issues with drone performance. Props aren't near the clips. So, for just flying around the neighborhood for fun, these are actually great. That said, since they have some bulk, they do get in the frame really, really easy. Like, any downward pitch at all, yup, there they are, plain as day. They're cheap enough and pop on and off easy, so they're good to have around, IMHO.

This product is absolutely amazing very well built very durable, great price, and most importantly guards to order frame of my drone. I’ve had a few crashes with it and having these on there helped significantly no scratches scuff marks nothing on the drone itself. Please take all the impact. I highly suggest any one with a drone that’s compatible to fit these to get a set. I rate these 10 out of 10. They also seem to glow their own colour since I have LEDs on my drone.
