Not ideal for Trichotillomania
Hoped it would assist with managing Trichotillomania urges- but the hairs are far too short to be able to grip using fingers. If the hairs were slightly longer, it would be perfect.Smells good though! And sent out quickly. Unfortunately, wouldn't order again as its expensive and doesn't satisfy the hair pulling urges for me

Nice for compulsive pickers!
If you battle the urge to pick at hair, acne, etc, then this is for you!!Pros: has a satisfying “tug ” of resistance for a full pluck experience. Is sufficiently small in hair circumference to make anticipatory “fishing” fulfilling.Con: So expensive!!! And the expression of the character is a bit juvenile and off putting.

My daughter loves this thing!
She loves plucking the blackheads. She loves Dr Pimplepopper, so this is her dream come true. It is easy to play with.

Entertaining for all ages
The media could not be loaded. This fidget toy is a great concept for many different reasons. I fully believe that someone with Trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder), or other conditions such as OCD, etc., would benefit from this fidget toy. If someone with ADHD, or other conditions that can cause overstimulation, they could also benefit from this fidget toy. This would also be beneficial to people who need to be able to calm their body and mind after having a hard day, or even just to do when you're bored. There's a broad spectrum here that would benefit from this fidget toy.I originally got this for my son. He has ADHD and some learning disabilities. He becomes overstimulated at times throughout the day, causing him to not be able to focus or think clearly. We have all felt this way at some point in our lives, too. Anxious, nervous, upset, mad, sad, etc. I have ADHD and anxiety, but growing up, I didn't have anyone that helped me through some situations and when I felt over stimulated or overwhelmed. Learning my triggers and how to navigate through everything, and handling my emotions, was left up to me to learn and do on my own. I didn't want my children to go through that, so I have a Timeout Toolkit. It has an array of fidget toys and other items that are meant to calm your mind and body down. It's something we use in my home often, including myself when it's been one of those days. This toy has quickly become the most popular, sought after fidget by each of my kids. This fidget toy forces you to slow down and focus on what you are doing. If you go too quickly, you could lose the thread pieces and if you pinch or squeeze the body, you'll lose the thread pieces. You MUST take it one thread at a time. Some are harder to pull than others. Some are just barely poking out of the body, so you have to be creative and patient, using the tweezers (included in the package) to go at different directions in order to pull it out.All 3 of my kids enjoyed this fidget toy, with each taking turns working on it. Depending on how long you sit and pull each thread out will depict how long this lasts. There are many pros to this toy, and very few cons, but that doesn't mean there are zero.1. The tweezers are a bit stiff and can make your hand/fingers hurt after a bit, especially children. I used a pair of tweezers that we had at home that fit their hands better. It worked fine.2. Some of the thread pieces are really close to the edge at the bottom of the belly. There was some struggle with getting those as we all ended up picking at the silicone body instead.Overall, this is a great concept that has many benefits to a wide variety of people from young to old. It can take a little time to a long time to complete, that just depends on the person. After all the thread is removed, it becomes something that can either be played with, or attached to a bag, purse, or even keys. There 12 different designs, each with a unique name and style, but all with the same, "hairy" situation that is up to you to remedy.Based on how my children reacted, I'll be buying more of these. I might even get a collection started for myself 🤔 🙂
