We purchased this as a replacement to another baby gate that had fallen into disrepair over the years. This product is very nice. It's sturdy, easy to install, the door stays open due to the spring mechanism in it, it shuts smoothly on its own, and is easy to open and close (by an adult human). We use it to keep our dogs in the laundry room at night, but still allow our cats in and out. The cat door design is much better then the older one which was a swinging cat door. Reason being, our beagle could wiggle through the old door, so we rigged a tie strap solution to shut it just enough to prevent that. This new design allows you to adjust how open the sliding cat door is which is perfect. Cats can do in and out, but our beagle cannot. All in all, we love this new gate.

After numerous ways of keeping my dogs away from cat food, this gate works well, is sturdy and glad I got it. Height, safety, door opening both ways and easy to put together. Glad I finally got a gate that works and no worries about dogs getting into the room. Thanks

Excellent product! Good quality. Fits very nicely in doorway. Easy to assemble took 15 minutes. Gate is thin enough to permit door between rooms to close. Keeps kittens and dog separated for slow introduction. Pleased with purchase.

Love this gate. Very attractive, high quality product. Purchased for 2 kittens having their room in peace & quiet to eat, and my dog out of their food and litter box. Assembly not difficult, instructions were okay, but left out how to open the man gate. Gate latches top and bottom. To open gate you press the upper handle, but must pick up on the gate to unlock the lower rod. Not explained in instructions. Other than this, no issues. Happy kitties, unhappy dog.

FIRST: DO NOT take off the zip tie that holds the gate together until installed!!! They mean it, this is a spring loaded pressure seated gate. If you cut it before installation, it will push open at the top of the gate and you will have to sit on it to re zip it and get it back to squared off position.This is a fabulous gate. I use gates to separate the dogs from the cats (laundry and stairs). I wish I had this when the kids were toddlers. I have spindle banister and for a long time could only find gates that had pressure pads. This has 2 Y shaped brackets (which can be stretched to be wider than original by pushing the inner part of the Y against a very hard counter or metal surface). The Y brackets are used for the rounded part of the banister and then the pressure pads to be used for the squared off bottom. It is relatively easy to install. The add on brackets for extra width are easy to add and there is a support brace to keep it rigid.Most impressive is the gate itself which, once installed, just falls shut hands-free. I can have my hands full and usually it will just swing back and latch. If it stays open, I can nudge it with a hip and it will fall shut and latch without my having to set anything down. The latch is a grip release so you will have to have one hand free to get open.One note, I have a fat cat so I did unscrew (in 2 places) the bracket for the cat door and pried/removed the plastic panel from the cat window. This gave him an extra 2 inches of width (hey, when you are a 20 lb cat and running from a German Shepherd, you want to fit!). My dog cannot fit through the cat opening so I figured best to leave it open.Solid contruction. The grey color blends well.

Easy to install and is the perfect gate to keep our puppy downstairs, but allow our cats to pass through.

The media could not be loaded. This product is EXTREMELY disappointing. The product doesn’t include an installation video or steps in the manual, just some vague diagrams with little instruction.The design quality is extremely poor and dangerous. The extensions fit very loose, just like the bolts. The holes are nearly half an inch wider than the bolts, so the whole gate can easily be pushed in/ right off the wall if you’re planning to fit in a space that requires you to extend the bolts more than 2 inches. This might have worked had the bolts been tighter fitting, but as I said, the gate was easily pushed over when installed properly (after finding their YouTube channel and watching the installation video there).There is no warning about the max amount the bolts should be extended, but due to the design it was clearly unsafe in the space I needed to install it, although it fit the size requirements from the description.When I did get it installed, the door on the gate barely closed, and could be pushed right open. Even if it worked properly, I was shocked that the cat door is an inch and half narrower than described because it doesn’t open all the way. My cat didn’t even fit through it.Don’t waste your time or money on this unless you’re installing in a simple spot like a narrow doorway and want to block your cat out.

Best gate ever!! My daughter bought a similar gate but different brand. Hers broke immediately. Great value and super sturdy. We have a huge dog that hasn’t been able to budge it.
