Having used cheaper brands, I decided to try these and was not disappointed. They are thicker, richer and their colour shift is less of a problem (although not completely absent). I chose this set for its inclusion of process colours.

Love the cryla range, offering a thick and creamy paint in acrylic form for impasto painting. This is a good classic set with all the core colours.

It's not often Iget the chance to review something by Daler-Rowney. As you might hope for, this box of classic acrylic paints comes with all the qualities you might expect from this well know make. The paint is high viscosity, heavy pigment and beautifully smooth.The presentation box is not ideal, and is my main negative comment. the tubes are heavy, as they contain 75mm of paint in each one. As a result, if the paint set is moved around or sent via post, the individual tubes move around and can jump out of their plastic tray indents. This can lead to a messy presentation on opening the package and potential damage to tubes from the sharp folded ends. Simply put, the box allows too much height for movement of the paint tubes in transit.In use the paint is delightful. Full, rich and thick pigments slide over the canvas to give a winderful texture and depth of colour. Blending and combining colours works as you might expect with the ability to streak as well as merge colours. Drying off is good and I found no signs of shrinkage or crackling when fully cured.Overall, this is a usful starter set. Fortunately titanium white is included, which allows a much greater range of blending and colour shades. Apart from the poor display packaging issue, I have to give these full marks. However if you do receive these by post be awre that the tubes maybe out of their individual indents and look somewhat disheveled.

The box it came was well presented and very colourful which warms anyone's heart. It had 8 tubes of different colours 75ml each and most importantly it had the white tubeThe paints are of good quality and high standards. It has the white paint that helps in just adding a streaks or mixing it helps in giving a new dimension to the painting. It can be used on any sort of art material and it stands out bringing both texture and colour to the forefront. I found it very easy to handle with the pallet knife especially ifone has to give a solid effect. It does notcrack when dry like some of the competitors do. It also dries quite quickly which is a big plus especially when something has to be completed in a hurry.I have not yet tried and would be interested in trying some of it made in a more liquid state and then using it by blowing and twisting. It works very well with the vegetable art and stamping. The eggshell finish is a very good finish I think that's what makes it easier to manage on any surface.It's colour & texture is very lively and makes it a joy to use.It's only a bit pricey but then I guess you get what you pay for also depends on how big or small the work is. It works well on sea-shells and glass. I definitely say it speaks volumes for the company Daler Rowney quality and standards. Would definitely recommend the brand whether an amateur or a professional or even a hobby artist. It reaches all stratars
