X AUTOHAUX 4 Button Car Remote Fob Case Insert Rubber Pad Keypad Replacement for Hyundai

I've been using this for about a month, and it works like new on a 2016 key fob. There is a metal ring that surrounds the buttons and If that is missing then it won't fit right. There is no instructions included but you can simply Google search how to replace the buttons or the battery.You have to open the fob completely to properly install this product because it not won't fit in correctly being slipped on from the front. There is a separate plastic plate that the buttons fit onto that has to be removed to make it fit properly. That plastic plate fits into the front of the fob and if it's pryed open without opening the fob completely then it'll easily break. Once the fob Is opened you can push that plates holders, which are small circular fasteners, you can push them out from the behind and then scrape the leftover rubber or in my case the glue off with any kind of pry tool. It's simple but people just need to take their time with it.

This fit perfectly on my OEM fob. OEM fob had stress cracks and broken rubber. This piece was a great value purchase and makes my fob look brand new.

My old one was worn out and even missing the part for my trunk button. I was about to go get a whole new fob when I decided to check here if possible for me to replace. This was a perfect replacement. I did a quick YouTube search for a video showing me how to replace. The new fob cover was very durable and sturdy. It was easy to install; took maybe 5 minutes. Even if this doesn’t last a year it’s still cheaper to do this a few times vs a new fob.

Works great but I had to glue it in place. Thought it would fit inside fob. But it got the job done.

I originally bought a key FOB shell which includes this but there was a problem. My old key FOBs would not come apart! I was afraid I would destroy the interior contents I cared about trying to break open the FOB. Key pad replacement to the rescue! I read some reviews that indicated these covers would not stay in place and initially that was going to be my experience. After reexamination what I found was that fragments of the old cover were still clinging to the key FOB. Once I fully scraped off all the remnants of the old cover I was able to carefully press in the new cover and it is good as new.

Replacement part fit as described. Installation for two key fobs was less than 30 minutes after reviewing a YouTube tutorial. Fitment was perfect after a tiny bit of experimenting to sit all the corners. Hyundai quoted $635 to replace the entire fob… this solution was much more reasonable.

After watching YouTube instructions, I was able to remove the rubber pad and replace it so easily! Just added a few drops of super glue to keep it secure!

It is a b**** to install, you gonna think you broke the key. It was nice but the rubber is starting to wear out 6 months in. What is to be expected though......

Car manufacturer Hyundai (Sport SantaFee-4 wheel drive 2003) should offer key casing instead purchasing the whole car key for about Can $350. Initially, we purchased the whole car key casing for $18 (no instructions), however watching YouTube we were able to use only the plastic pad that got damages with years of use, as the rest of the key was functional. It was a bit tricky to replace it, but worthwhile, instead of purchasing the whole car key. Since we got 2 car keys, and the second key should require replacing eventually we purchased only plastic pad for the second key.
