Not durable - lasted 1 year!
Easy to store. Once expanded, the hose is quite heavy and requires some effort to move it from one location to another - unless you drain it first. Being a pale colour it quickly looked grubby, so if looks matter go for a darker colour.Probably fine if you only use it on grass. Mine lasted just over 12 months before it started to leak part way along the hose, to such an extent that it was unusable. If you are thinking of buying an expanding hose, check how many layers it is composed of - the more the better.

Not working properly
Have had hozelock super hose before, this one is not so good!! Keeps leaking from tap and we have changed the connections a few times!! Disappointed ☹️

A convenient hose, but it drips / leaks from both ends.
Convenience is a big factor here, and it's why I'll keep the hose instead of returning it. I cannot imagine that I've got a faulty one, maybe I have, but it is definitely the case that the Aquastop connectors at each end of this hose will drip quite a lot when connected to something else, or a tap. I have quite a lot of Hozelock stuff, I'm familiar with them and with a traditional hose and an Aqua stop connector you have absolute faith that you're fully protected from leaks. I connected this 30m hose to the internal tap (with Hozelock connector) and started it going - all good - it automatically expands out to the full 30 metres - the other end had no device connected to it - so the water should just stay in the hose until I connect a sprayer nozzle, or hook it up to the pressure washer, but that's not what happens - what happens is that you get some limited but constant spurting of water from the end not connected to the tap. Going back to the tap, I could see a drip from there too. Not good at all. After you've finished and disconnected from the tap, you can leave your nozzle connected from one end and the hose automatically shrinks up again, spurting the residual water out of the nozzle, then it's ready to go back in its box. That's a really nice feature and I didn't realise it was that convenient when buying, I thought I might have to jig it around to empty it of water, but you don't.However, I can't get over the leaking. I don't trust it. You can take the supplied connectors apart, and re-fit them (doing that might have made it just a tad better) but you can't seem to replace them with a standard Hozelock Aquastop connector - as the fitting is too wide a diameter and is very rigid - which was a massive disappointment. I'll keep the hoze, but I'll connect a quite short run of standard hoze to my internal tap, before taking that outside, then connect the expandable hoze.Otherwise, I'll try and see if I can get new connectors that don't leak.

It goes a long way and does not gat tangled up as the traditional hoses did!
I revamped an old hose reel,(which cleaned up remarkably well), and, with slight modification, installed theHozelock Superhoze 30m onto the reel. This works really well but with one important caveat! !!!! If you follow my example, Do NOT turn on the hose whilst it is still reeled up?? Pull out the entire hose before you expand it. I have given up traditional hoses and now have three of these devices which cover every area I need to water in my garden I love them-they are so simple use.

Sturdy and practical, fantastic for handling and storage.
We bought two of these 30m hoses so that we could join them together and cover the whole garden. They are so easy to carry about and clip together easily. The pressure does not seem to be affected by the additional length. They expand as the water fills them and can be pulled about easily once full of water as they are just as sturdy as a standard hose. The best bit is that, once finished with, you turn off the water but the hose continues to be functional at the same pressure until empty. It gradually shrinks to its original size and is again easily portable. Fantastic. There is one downside with the ones we purchased, there is a bit of leakage at the tap.Addendum: Have now had 2 of these hoses for 11 months. At this moment in time 3 of the 4 ends are leaking profusely and nothing we can do will stop it. The connections are supposed to be guaranteed leak free but that is certainly not the case with these two. I am awaiting a response from Hozelock.

it costs a little more than some of this kind of hose but you notice the difference when you use it.
It feels much more sturdy when you use the hose, and the extra cost that one pays makes a lot of difference. Also the five year guarantee that comes with it proves that it is a good well made hose. All you have to do is make sure that you keep a note of the receipt as that is the paper that will cover you for the 5 year guarantee. I think it is woth the money

The hose failed within warranty but couldn't get a replacement
Bought this via Amazon and was supplied by one of their sellers. But it failed within warranty so Hozelock said we had to deal back via the seller. Amazon referred us to the reseller who instructed us to send the item back to them and they would then see if Hozelock will accept as a return, if they do then they would ship a replacement at our expense. This is a large item and costly to ship securely. Very poor customer service, after all it isn't my fault the product has failed and the inconvenience is surely enough for me endure. They should be making this process easier. I have pictures and video that clearly show the failure and could be supplied if requested. An apology along with a replacement is what I should have received. Check who you are dealing with and remember Amazon have very limited responsibility If it us not being directly supplied by them. You are therefore reliant on the reseller and what they decide.
