QSHAVE Adjustable Safety Classic Double Edge Razor with Matte Black Coating (1 Razor)

Firstly, I would rate the product itself five stars however I must take off a star because it came later than expected.I'm 21 years old and have known commercial blades and electric razors my whole life. I always thought razor burn and getting acne after shaving was just the price you pay of being a man. Electric razors would yank my hairs out, multi-blade gilette razors would pull my hairs out and leave me with spots and ingrown hairs. I took a gamble and decided to test the classic way out. I always thought everything current and up to date must be better but that's far from the truth. I watched a video online for safety (as any first timer should) and essentially came to the conclusion it's similar to any manual blade just be slower, more careful and let the weight of the blade to the work. I gave it a try. I got not only the closest shave ever but also the most relaxing and care-free shave. I always get nicks and pulls and cuts around my mustache area with other blades. Holy s***, this slides right down so naturally and severs each hair smoothly at the root. However, if you're in a rush and gotta shave real quick this isn't the best bet, you need to take time and finesse, you're dealing with an object made to be as sharp as possible. Also, make sure you get a moisturiser! This blade will cut so close and so smoothly you will literally feel every single pour in your face opened up. Make sure you don't let oil and bacteria get into those pours and pop on some moisturiser after shaving. Hope buyers found this helpful, there're not many reviews for this blade and I was hesitant when buying it so here are my two cents from a customer!

I must say this was an absolute pleasure to use! I have used safety razors and have wanted the Merkur Futur for a while so I figured trying a now available clone would be a good idea to see if I would still want the real thing. I am now thinking I won't bother getting the Merkur as the shave from this one was the most comfortable and close shave with a safety razor I've had yet! It's a nice wait and even on the 6 setting I surprised at how close and easy it was with the 1st pass. Obviously when using any safety razor you should take your time and the same applies here. Over all I am very very pleased. The only reason it lost a star was when it was at setting 1, unless you have very soft and fine facial hair it doesn't do much. It didn't take the last of my beard so the lowest setting is 2 for me. I will say use cation when twisting to adjust the setting. Make sure you don't have slippery hands as it may slip and cut your fingers.

Easy and brilliant shave

I was impressed until I took the razor out of its packaging. On inspection, there a quite a few speckles in various places that take away from the matte finish. For the £ it’s brilliant however, no product should be leaving the warehouse looking like that. I’m disappointed hence the *** I will probably take my custom elsewhere. I’m sure not every model is in that condition and I was just unlucky. This is a good buy if it comes without the speckles but, seeing as I have a razor with imperfections I cannot honestly say it was worth the money and I’m far from satisfied.

Have just started DE shaving after years of using cartridges. Have tried a couple of well known razors but was never satisfied with closeness and comfort of the shave compared with a cartridge. This razor has changed that. Gives amazingly close shave on my tough beard growth and sensitive skin. Excellent quality and workmanship for very low price - very close clone of the Merkur Futur. Highly recommend to anyone.

Very solid and effective. The ability to change the aggressiveness of the cut is fantastic. Minor issues are the high dome head can make getting shaving your mustache near your nose tricky. It is very top heavy too, so some finesse is lost, but it's not a major point. The original Merkur is much better balanced, but I can't afford it!Overall very very good.

Really good, reay sleek looking and gives a shave right from something mild enough to trim your eyelids right through to a shave agressive enough to shave a mans legs in single strokes (seriously, its mad!).I was ginna get a Merkur Futur but thought there was no point as this one is all the razor I need.
