Its hard to put the book aside. Joe is a strong and courageous character. Ready to battle for what's right. Its not your average suspense thriller that you can guess what's next. A surprise around ever corner. Filled with mayhem, murder, unanswered questions. Family, love, faith and a grieving parent. You meant to miss it.

Interesting location for so much drama. I've never visited Charleston, but feel like I have now. Good triumphs over evil again, with some questions left unanswered. Nicely written law and order story.

Love the courtroom drama. Well written to keep you up at night. Looking forward to the next Joe Hennessey situation.

A lot of different characters, made it a bit confusing to keep up with. There were slow parts of the book that took a little bit to get through. The trials in court though, made it interesting and then kept me wanting to read to find out what was going to happen next.3.5 stars for me!

This book was recommended to me, first book in series, this held my attention and was pretty good mystery going on. There is only 5 books in series, so will probably read them all. Book opens up a couple things going on in main characters life that is not answered so makes you want to read next book but don't have to.

This had a Grisham feel and I loved every minute of it. New fan here. I am ready for the next book.

A good start, I was very absorbed and focused. Sometimes my attention span gets the best of me but I was able to follow this book with interest. The storyline was very interesting and impressive. The characters were relatable and for the most part likable. I’m really hoping that Joe and Wendy get closure on Luca death. They deserve to know what happened to him. I love how they reminisced his memories but it would be good for them to find peace in their hearts and peace in his death.

Typical American tale with unbelievable twists. Legal cases with witnesses who suddenly change their stories just do not happen like that.

This is the first book I have read by this author. It is an easy read and keepsyou wanting to turn the page. I’m looking forward to #2 in the series.
