I would not recommend this product for any bird smaller than an African ...
I have ordered several of these for my African Grey that plucks. He really loves to pull apart the bird safe rope and shred it. I'd rather have him do that then chew up his feathers. I would not recommend this product for any bird smaller than an African Grey because the wooden spools are quite large and a smaller bird would not be able to break them. The hanger is metal and very sturdy. I just hang it from the top of the cage next to his perch and let him tear it up. Great product!
