Patterns in the Dark (Dragon Blood Book 4)
I am enjoying this series so much. The characters are great, the places they go to are imaginative and interesting. The story is still fast paced and exciting and it seems to be going in an amazing direction. They have found a dragon.....love it. This will not be a spoiler as there is so much more to the last sentence!!The story is left on a bit of a cliff-hanger but i actually don't care (for once!) because i really, really, want the next book to see what happens. If you would like to read something a little bit different then i recommend this series. Do start at the beginning though as you will get a better feel for the characters.Loving this series so far.

Absolutely amazing
Book 4 of a series and the excitement and page-turning draw have not once dropped. Sardelle and Zirkander's relationship grows, as does Tolemek and Caslin's, while apex starts a new one. The mystery of dragons within the world expands further with the first sighting in over 3000 years.I cannot wait to five into book 5

I enjoyed this 4th book in the series very much
I enjoyed this 4th book in the series very much, again not giving me many chances to actually put the book down. The progression of the characters flows well with many interesting goals for each character. My only personal letdown is I felt for the length of the book there was not a "huge journey" considering the overall scheme. The introduction of a couple new characters didn't seem to peak my interest like the current band of merry men, but I enjoyed the read either way! Still looking forward to reading the next in the series.

I haven't enjoyed a series this much since Melanie Rawn and her ...
Here there be dragons . . . . . . Well, I'm not normally one for reviews but I accidentally discovered Lindsay Buroker's 'Dragon Blood' series via a 'freeby' book two weeks ago. Since then, I've raided the piggy bank and thundered through all of the current books in the series and am now waiting for more, which speaks volumes in itself. I haven't enjoyed a series this much since Melanie Rawn and her epics with the Sun-Runners. In the latest volume, Lindsay rolls out the 'stars' of previous book so we have a hero, a heroine (who's also a sorceress!), a dragon, a pirate, a petite female with attitude (sniper trained) and a cast of supporting characters that you can't help but empathize with. There's also a roller coaster ride of a plot with more twists and turns than a badly designed American intersection, oh, and did I mention the dragon? All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable romp, bring on the next installment!

Change.
Underlying all the books in this series there is a good story which is well told. There is definitely way too much of the wink wink, nudge nudge innuendo which detracts from the story. The characters are mature people in dangerous situations, please concentrate on plotline and character development, less of them acting like teens, some tension is ok but you can have too much of a thing. Look forward to the next book.

Good plots, great pace and originality
I'm not usually a 'sword and sorcery' reader but I have to say that the books in this series so far have all kept me entertained to the point where an hour of reading has passed before I realise. The characters are quite well drawn and dialogue is generally entertaining and believable. They all excel at delivering pacy, intelligent plots and believable scenarios despite the fantastic nature of the genre. Well done.

A 5 star read!! Very enjoyable!!
Another 5 star treat telling the story of Ridge, Sardelle and the fantasy tale of dragons, adventure and intrigue... witty and well written, I found this engaging from cover to cover... a must read for the fantasy genre fan!!

Another great-fun adventure romp from Lindsay Buroker!
Complex plot, wacky characters and page-turning action. And a very large dragon. Highly recommended for anyone wanting plenty of adventure and a relaxing read that doesn't leave you depressed from spending several hours with bleak dysfunctional characters. These guys may have a few issues (and each other) to deal with but they manage to sort themselves out eventually.
