Product idea is great.I had wanted to better understand how it worked. So I tried it out myself with a test using a different email. It does seem like everything is anonymous as none of my data showed up. What happens when someone enters an ID is they provide their email and they are sent a link to a chat. From there they can type messages to the owner. The owner can also type messages back. The chat link seems persistent as you can send a message and using the same link check again. ItLooks though its up to you to provide a reward, which is fair but my understanding previously was they setup some type of reward.my main concern was it was really anonymous and it does seem to be the case, neither the finder or owner will know anything about the other person except if you choose mention your details in the chat. The Tags themselves seem be be pretty durable and the laser etching means you won’t be worried about the writing rubbing off. They ask you to enter your address and phone number when you register which is why I had some concerns initially.

Well what can I say it’s a metal tag that goes well with your key smart key organizer but like the other reviews I am worried about the etching fading out. I already have some marks from it being inside my key smart from where the inside paint and markings are, you might want to put a space inside so it doesn’t happen to yours. Other than that not much else to say I haven’t tasted out the recovery ID but it’s a good manual back up to your tracked tile keysmart key organizer. If maybe it was recessed in or stamped it won’t fade but I haven’t had it that long so I don’t know if it will fade.

This is an awesome idea this tag is kind of on the larger side for use with a Keychain I would recommend getting the miniThis one also clangs like a dog tag because it's a thick slab of aluminumOther than that I am happy with itIf someone finds your keys and decides to look up your code they have to provide their email address in order to make contact with you which might turn some people off you would hope they'd do it but the less complicated u make it for someone to return your property the better chance you have of getting it back

The tags are awesome, I feel better about my stuff coming back to me should it become misplaced. One dislike is that the three pack only includes a single split ring, fine if attaching to keys a pain is adding to bags.

I don't know what they were drinking when they decided to make Full Name, Gender, Birth Date, and Full Address all mandatory fields when registering the key online. You can't use the product unless all these are entered on their website.Only the contact information (email or phone number) should have been mandatory.Seriously, what were they thinking?

Good quality metal. Know that it's magnetic.Adhesive is difficult to remove.

This is a great ID. Easy to set up. Looks great on your gear. It’s a great gift ID everyone can use.

*updated* fitted to KeySmart Pro and it is so small you would not know it was fitted.ALSO (unbelievably) when the ID is 'opened' the last numbers are obscured by the KeySmart bar, so the 'finder' would never be able to log in and report as found anyway.I am increasingly disappointed with KeySmart and continuous fundamental design failures.VERY SMALL and tiny printso not sure anyone would actually 'find' or 'see' once installed in a KeySmart?which also means the print is so TINY that I doubt anyone would actually realise what it is?- especially as its in a bland neutral metal grey colour (it looks like just a part of the Keysmart holder).*ALSO* the same age old problem appeared; in that Outrageous 'key capacity' is no where near, and this takes up yet more precious space... heck of job to reassemble just three keys with this.IF KeySmart were more HONEST about the REAL key capacity, and/or provided decent expansion bars (given the cost!) all the issues would be resolved.As it is, KeySmart is becoming a VERY expensive 'system' to adopt.sadly, would NOT recommend.

Product is okay and it will serve a purpose, but out of the three fobs two were etched wonky and they were only supplied with one keyring attachment. If you buy a 3 pack surely you should get the attachments for all 3?

The quality is very poor! You have to put it in the perfect position and distance or it can’t read the QR code. If someone found this they would get frustrated because it wouldn’t work.

Very good quality and easy registration, hopefully I never need to find out if the system works!
