I had an aunt growing up that LOVED down blankets and hers were so plush and full, it felt like being buried in a cloud. Granted, she probably spared no expense on hers, and well, I'm just not going to spend $1000 on a blanket. But with a heading like "Luxurious Heavy Goose Down Comforter", I was expecting a little more umph. The blanket it soft for sure. Just wished it had a little more filling in each square. They are only about 1/3 filled. Perhaps that's normal and I'm must ignorant. I followed the directions and shook the blanket out daily for several days. But still a little flat for my liking. Perhaps I'll spend a little more next time...we'll see.

I was so pleased with the quality of this comforter when I first opened it, it puffed up instantly and was very full, the feel of the cover and quality of the stitching were impressive. However, I’m not certain the filling is 80% goose down as the description claims because we would sweat when we slept under it, even with our feet out. It isn’t breathable at all and I saw in another comment someone discovered the comforter was filled with synthetic material. I don’t want to rip the comforter, so I will be returning and ordering another comforter that hopefully has down and is breathable the way it should be.

This was my first ever time buying a comforter for myself and I’m so glad I went with this one. I got a the white one in the size full/queen. I live in an area where it can get really cold and with this comforter I have had nothing but a good night’s sleep. It’s super insulating and breathable so I don’t feel too hot when I’m sleeping.

The name says it all--Luxurious HEAVY Comforter. For us, it was just way too heavy. I read other reviews stating how heavy it was, but I like the feeling of crawling under a heavy blanket and feeling toasty warm, so I thought it would be perfect. However, after 6 months of use (in winter) both my husband and I found have found the comforter to be oppressively heavy and too hot. We inevitably ended up pushing it completely off every night and now have quit using it all together. We've used down comforters for years, and this is the first one that does not feel "breathable." I had to double check that I indeed ordered a goose down comforter and not a synthetic or alternative.The stitching and quality are very good, there was no odor, and it definitely does its job of keeping you warm, especially if you like the feeling of suffocating. I thought with time maybe it would lose some feathers and not feel so heavy and restrictive, but it hasn't lost a single feather which I guess speaks for it's quality. As far as personal taste goes, I wanted a very full, fluffy comforter--which it is--but I like folding my comforter down part way to arrange pillows, etc and folded over on itself it looks like a mountain of poof which is not esthetically pleasing for my taste. Laid out flat on the bed, it is a beautiful comforter--very full-- and fills the duvet cover uniformly to the edges which I like. So I have mixed feelings--no matter how great the look, quality, or design, if it does not aid in a comfortable night's sleep, it's a no go. Maybe in 10 years it will be just right.

Purchased for a winter duvet set to keep us warm without a top sheet, just this with a cotton duvet cover. Love it. Worried about the price, but didn't want to go cheap either. I wanted to be warm in winter. This came and it fluffed up, but it's dense. I like that it's heavy and dense. It looks and feels extremely well-made. I'm happy with my purchase.

We got this duvet quickly. It had little smell, was expecting worse based on reviews. Not as thick as the photo. Not as thin as people say on the reviews. The price was nice. It does crinkle, but not like plastic trash bags more like paper. It is HEAVY. like I needed help unfolding. It did get fluffier after several hours. When we placed it on the bed. The puppy loved the smell and could not stop rolling on it, it was super cute. BY HOUR TWO, the duvet became the puppy's new fav bed. After airing it out, and covering it with a duvet cover it was soft and comfortable to sleep under. The queen size fits nicely. It got down to 42 outside and 58 inside our home we used the duvet first night. After a few hours, we were hot and had to pull the duvet mostly off the bed. So even though it is thin, it is very warm. I would suggest getting this duvet. Wash the duvet cover and make sure to buy one. Wash actually duvet once a year. It will last a long time. Try to bring to dry cleaners. We are impressed with how warm it is and how evenly distributed the feathers are.
