Works great as adapter or converter
We bought this for a 2-week tour of Italy through all the major cities, and it worked just fine. You can use it as a converter, or simply an adapter if you have a dual voltage appliance you're plugging in, but be sure to check the setting before plugging in. My wife had a hair dryer set for 120 volts, and we forgot to switch this to the converter setting. The hair dryer shut down after a few seconds. Awhile later, the hair dryer reset and once we got this product set to converter, everything worked. It's got two USB plugs for charging as well. We bought this along with a plain adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4P1J4XB?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details), so we could plug in stuff on each side of the bed, plus this one for the hair dryer as necessary. Most hotels had hair dryers, but not all. And some of them were reportedly not so great, so this converter came in handy. Used correctly, it did not heat up too much even after several minutes. We had two phones, two tablets, plus a separate camera to charge, so I think it's a good idea to have this item plus the regular adapter so you're not dependent on just one.

stopped working after first day use- EU plug doesn't get locked
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my international travel in August but used in December when i went to India. I was so excited to be able to use my laptop and phone chargers from home that I was carrying with me but, after reaching to India after one day use, the EU plug wouldn’t lock into place. I tried to use with it not locking and it didn’t work at all. There is no Blue Led light coming up. All other plugs are gettingblocked in place. Had lots of expectations but extremely disappointed!!!

Fried my heating mat on the first use in Europe
The converter is marked to be used for hair dryer etc. up to 800W. My heating mat consumes only 50W, but it was fried on my first use in Europe. Horrible product!Just as an update, the seller contacted me after my feedback and fully refunded my orders. I have to give them credit for that and thus changed my rating from one star to three stars.

Used this voltage converter to charge our IPhones in Ireland. Worked fine, easy to use, no problems.

Horrible product! Don’t buy!
I ordered this to use in Greece. It is supposed to convert to the proper plug adapter as well as convert from 220 to 110. It is also advertised that you can use with a blow dryer. I used it and it fried both my hair dryer and my chi straightener, making them both unusable trash. By the time I went on my trip and determined the product is trash, return window was closed. Rip off!! Don’t buy!!Post Update: the company offered a refund for the product. It was a pleasant surprise
