So far so good. I shutdown my Acer Aspire 5750 Z laptop before I charged the battery. It installed without a hitch. This product does not fit totally flush and snug with the computer as the two previous batteries - thus the reduction of one star. It’s almost like it’s missing that final “click”. It’s a minor issue, in all probability. Rather than power down using “Sleep”mode, I used hibernate. When I powered back up the next day, the battery icon indicated 88% and 3+ hours. This is more of a statement about my power preferences and habits. The important thing though, is these preferences have remained a constant since owning the machine. Honestly, the iPad is getting more use. The Acer has morphed into the periodic word processor. Shortly, I plan to read and respond to my work emails from home. This task should be a decent gauge on the performance of the battery. Two hours straight, and I’ll be a happy man. I will edit this review if necessary.

original part lasted 4 hrs on one charge. this lasts 2 hrs, so not as good. as for longevity, i've only had it less than a week, so i can't rate that, yet. original lasted 6 yrs i think.

I just got the battery so I can't answer all your questions yet. It does not keep a charge very long. I wasted my money.
