Fits a small square block of butter nicely (the same size of a square of margarine) for reference. It’s nice.

Great little butter dish!
This is a great, well-made ceramic butter dish! It neatly holds 2 halves of a regular sized butter stick. It does not take up a lot of space and looks great in my kitchen matching my white cabinets. If you want a nice, compact butter dish, don’t pass this one up!
