Really good book. Have lots of info at home and its really good for broader knowledge on the white continent. UNFORTUNATELY the book came with grubby fingerprints and a tear on the cover.Great book, shoddy handling by Amazon once again.

This book is a must for anyone with a love of Antarctica. It is firstly beautifully presented. It is an interesting read and one where you can dip in and out to sections you are most intrigued by. It really is a book I will treasure. This and Antarctica by Gabrielle Walker are the best books I've got on Antarctica, albeit for very different reasons. I thoroughly recommend if you are in love with the polar regions. Some interesting new facts too.

This book covers every aspect of Antarctica with many clear maps and instructive text. Much that I did not even think of relating to the continent.Well worth the price.

Amazing book but cover damaged

If you love armchair exploring and gorgeous books, then this is for you. Lovely graphics and of course maps with lots of interesting information.

My brother did 2 Antarctica assignments for U.S. Geological Survey. I gifted for his 80th birthday. It was such a big hit!

Thoroughly recommended. I took the Kindle version on a recent trip to the Antarctic, and found it immensely useful. I ordered the print version as soon as I returned, for better reading and easier reference. Very up-to-date, invaluable for any student of Antarctic studies.

Livre semble très intéressant par ses graphiques. Pas de photos pour ceux qui cherche un beau livre. Livré dans point-relais, kiosque à journaux parisien, donc peu de place. Coins du carton Amazon cassés et léger dommage au livre. Kiosquier confirme que les paquets sont empilés avec difficultés. A l'avenir, je ne le referai plus. J'ai aussi noté que dans les magasins point-relais sont souvent empilés n'importe comment.

seriously impressive book. its clear that a couple people put a lot of love and effort into this. everything about it speaks to an attention of detail that isn't common in books like this these days. Also, having lived in antarctica myself— its got everything pretty much spot on! excellent presentation of the information.
