CONNECTORS
No where does the description suggest that these sprinklers are useless without the proper connectors. The connectors should be included or at least have the courtesy to accurately relate what is needed to make these things work. I purchased the sprinklers and found I could not connect them to a garden hose. I ordered brass QD connectors thinking they would help. They screw onto a garden hose and you are left with another male end. Useless! If you buy this product you must obtain either double female hose ends or get female QD connectors that are female at both ends. I'm through ordering parts from this site. $35 in brass fittings that are no help. I'm going to a hardware store 20 miles away for the parts I need. I still don't know if the sprinklers are appropriate for my needs. Yes, I should have known better than to trust incomplete descriptions.

Impressed
After the Sonoma County wildfires we had last October, I'd been looking into rooftop sprinklers to help catch and extinguish any blowing hot embers that may stray our way. Last year I tried standing with a hose and nozzle from the ground to wet the roof front and back on my 60ft wide 30ft deep ranch style single level house and that was painful and tedius. I wanted a way that didn't cost a fortune and was easy to install, move, adjust and experiment with for best coverage. After a few experiments with quick connects, hose types and positions I feel I have the optimum setup right now using 2 of these sprinkler heads. The two heads cover the full width and depth of my roof well, getting it soaking wet (post rainstorm dripping wet) inside 10 minutes. As the photo shows, the arc of spray goes up and out allowing for a decent catchment radius for embers. To run 2 of these inline (joining two heads together) you need a very forceful water pressure. I experimented and the spray radius did go down noticeably when two were on the same hose feed. Putting the 2nd head on it's own feed from a 100' hose from my front tap made a huge difference. For this price (about $15 ea + shipping) it was a total no-brainer to try these out this summer.

Dont bother with the feequently bought together quick connects. They are the wrong size.
Havent got to try the sprinkler yet as i had to order a second set of brass quick connects. Item B0721QK75Z. The ones recommended as frequently purchased together by amazon arent the right size. Assuming the ones i just ordered work, for 20ish dollars two of these beat the pants off the other options at 100-300 dollars. Sickens me how expensive for such an easy contraption to make. Will update once I have it running, but wanted to say NO QUICK CONNECTS INCLUDED. I am told you need the ones i listed above.

These are pretty good so far
I tested these on the lawn about a month ago and put them on the roof today. They cover a wider area than I thought they would. It was fairly windy today and they didn’t blow over. They haven’t been up long so I don’t know how long they will last w/o adjustments but so far so good.I used the connectors that were listed at the bottom of this products page but they ran out after I ordered them and I don’t know if they restocked them. I’d not seen these type in Home Depot but I did see something similar on a nozzle set sold by Sam’s Club recently.

Deceptive Picture and Description
I bought 4 of these units. The male end of a regular garden hose cannot be attached to the sprinkler without an additional special brass fitting. My local hardware store doesn't carry a part that would work and I am reluctant to order one on the internet as I don't know if it will fit. The picture was deceptive and the description did not mention the need for an additional part.

Cools the attic
The graph shows a noticeable decrease in attic temp once I installed three of these on the roof. For some reason though they are not covering a 30' wide area, only about 10', so there are still some dry gaps on the roof. Once I get that figured out, the temp drop should be even greater .

sturdy metal, but not able to use
The male connection was not possible to connect to the hose. I looked for quick connect hoses and wasn't able to find anything in the U.S. that fit. Quick shipping, sturdy metal, but not able to use.

These are pretty nice. We didn't know we would need a quick connect fitting to make this work. It would have been better if they had included it.
