Superb Garage Door Stormguard
Super easy to fit and 7 meters supplied easily fitted both sides and top of the normal UK single Garage Door. Ensure to clean the Door surface first with White Spirits and dry before applying the Seal. Once the Deal adheres it is well & truly stuck so repositioning can be a bit tricky. Start by Sticking about 10cm to the Door & gradually sticking more as you peal back the backing. This ensures a straight and even application. I didn't cut mine to length first but fitted and cut once I reached the end of each side. Use heavy duty scissors to cut. Once installed if totally fits all the gaps around the Door and closing the Door takes a bit more effort initially but gets easier as the Brushes wear in. Highly recommended to keep out draughts, noises and cold if you work in your garage & keep out the leaves and debris during high winds. For the price it is a bargain and truly works...👍

Good brush but really poor adhesion. Used additional adhesion.
After checking previous reviews, saw no complains on the brush but all the poor ratings were for the adhesion. So I decided to buy this product and purchase gorilla glue. It did the job. Works well. Like the product. I have given it a 4 rating due to the brush and I would recommend you purchase additional heavy duty glue to go along with it.

Good product that keeps the drafts out
I purchased this item for my double garage that had a 10-15mm gap all the way around the edge. I had to purchase two of these as I did the top, bottom and both sides which is more than 7m that is supplied. My garage door is aluminium and nearly 20 years old, so you can imagine this had accumulated a lot of dirt, grit, cobwebs etc. I gave the door a thorough clean as recommended, once dried, I cleaned one last time with white spirit to ensure that there was no grease which would compromise the seal. I unravelled the tape, peeled off the seal and applied to the door. This was relatively straightforward and I did this without any assistance, took around 10 minutes to do the entire door. I had to cut the ends with sharp pair of scissors, which took some force. Overall I am extremely happy with the product, it seems to have kept drafts out and created a decent seal to the outside. I have had the product for around 2 weeks so it will be interesting to see how long it lasts, but first impressions is that this is of good quality. I was so impressed that I bought some more to create a double seal around the garage. Pros Good quality Easy to install Strong seal to painted aluminium garage door Removes unwanted drafts for gaps between 10-15mm Cons None, however I haven’t tested on other doors and only had the product for 2 weeks. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts through the seasons.

Recommend for patio doors too
Worked brilliantly on our old garage doors. We used the garage for a gym. We used this with the padded foil on the doors. Our latest home patio doors felt like there was a draught but we were not sure if the windows were just older. I had a whole pack of this left over so I tried it on the patio doors. BIG SUCCESS! I always sit on a chair by these patio doors to sew in the daylight. Today is much colder and breezier than recently but the windows are better than usual. We have already bought a foam style insulation to fill the gap and sits on the door edge so I will still add that.

Not fit for purpose.
I gave this the benefit of the doubt having read previous reviews. However, within 24 hours, the Stormguard was peeling from the garage door. The adhesive is beyond poor. I shall be returning and looking for an alternate option.

Recommended? Yes, with a caveat. Pros: - I was skeptical that a brush would substitute for a more solid kind of weather strip, but I think this is just as effective. The pile is very dense and the quality exceeded my expectations. However, see also: Cons. Cons: - I think the 5mm low-end gap range is simply too low, a victim of its own success. My air gaps covered the full range and where the gap was narrow, within maybe a couple of dozen closures the door pushing against the brush simply pulled the strip off the frame. I tried nailing the strip back on which did seem to somewhat work, but it's a royal pain to do and I don't think it's going to last. (UPDATE: It did not) - In contrast to the other reviews, I followed the instructions to the letter and with a fair bit of pressing, the adhesive seemed to work OK and I think would have done the trick with a larger gap. Nonetheless, compared with the memory-foam style weather strip I put up at the same time, the adhesive is conspicuously weaker. Info: Although the instructions say only to attach it to the door, I asked the manufacturer if it could be attached to the frame and they said it's not a problem.

Can also be used to insulate sliding patio doors.
Originally bought one pack in summer 2024 to line the bottom of two garage doors. I had to trim approximately 2-3mm off in order to allow the doors to close. (A bit of a faff and took several hours to trim, test and trim further). Both have remained stuck to the doors and stop leaves etc from coming into the garage. Bought another pack this year to insulate our new sliding patio door (1.4m) which was letting drafts through both top and bottom. This has improved the insulation and the door still slides open easily (the stip is not stuck down so can easily be removed if necessary). I’ve not seen any mentions of how to insulate sliding patio doors against drafts, so I hope this helps someone else.
