Nylon Braided Tube i/d - 19mm. (3/4") o/d - 26mm. 10 bar - Per metre

I bought this because I’ve been an tropical aquarium owner for much of my life and have got completely fed up of carrying buckets of water to and from my 85l aquarium. From past experience, I know British taps and connectors can be awkward when trying to attach a hose and often end up spraying water everywhere. After some deliberation, I purchased 20m of this tubing together with a water pump (MVPOWER 3000L/H Mini Submersible Pumps Functional Fish Tank Pump for Aquarium Fountain Pond with 3 Outlet Connectors) to see if it was quicker and easier than lugging buckets of water through the house. I wish I’d tried this years ago.I was a bit worried whether the hose would fit the pump connector adequately and vice versa, but it did perfectly. I bought the wider 19mm internal diameter tubing to allow for the water to flow easier as I was also concerned about whether the pump would be powerful enough, which it was.I think now I’ve used it, I know what to expect, as it was a bit of an experiment and I was a bit wary first time. I think I could do a 50% water change in 15mins, a regular 25% water change in 10mins.I noticed once the water started flowing out of the tank (and again afterwards with clean water from the bathroom hand basin acting as a sump for the submersible pump, with taps running gently to balance the rough 25-26C temperature back into the tank), that the pump could be switched off for a slower, national drain (via siphoning effect), even though this hose was 20m long from my living room to my bathroom. I could cut the hose in half, but bought extra in case I ever decided to drain the aquarium outside into a flowerbed.After adding some Aquasafe dechlorinator asap afterwards, I checked the aquarium and it was 26.5C, half a degree what it normally is - not bad!The hose itself is excellent quality, and I’m glad I bought it over non-reinforced ordinary plastic tubing, which is ideal if any kinks form when handling the hose after use and coiling it up after draining the remains of any water out, best I could. It has a slight blue tint to it as per the product photo. No holes (aside from one each end of course), no leaks, it’s labelled non-toxic, ideal for pumping clean water at the desired temperature back into aquarium. Excellent value for money and made by a UK firm which is always good to support.Arrived quickly, clean (no obvious dust or contamination) and sensibly packaged. Would buy this again.
