Sandalwood Fan Favour

This is definitely a fan, and as such it works, and for the price, it seems silly to complain. But it's not sandalwood. I'd guess its just some cheap nondescript wood. No smell, and a bit rough textured. Sandalwood, in my experience, is harder and smoother and smells of sandalwood.I can't say I'm surprised, but for other potential buyers ... if you really want sandalwood, this isn't it!Came in a jiffy bag from China, no box, but it was intact. It's still probably a bargain, but only just.

These are very pretty fans and well constructed, but even though they are made of sandalwood, they are not scented. I bought 4 thinking to have them handy for family or friends on very hot days.I have a sandalwood fan that was a present more than thirty years ago, and is still scented after all this time. So, something of a disappointment, that there is a total absence of that wonderful sandalwood scent, but they are undeniably pretty and do the job of keeping you cool far better than the hand held battery fans.

Ordered 45.... I did expect them to be boxed but wasn't really a problem when I realized they weren't, was slightly disappointed to find five were broken when I checked them, but as I only needed 39 in the end I decided not to complain. Although they were well received on the night I would think twice about ordering these again.Martin ColemanFestival Secretary

Pretty fan however too flimsy for my liking. It does the job however I feel you have to make extra effort to feel the breeze which for me had the opposite effect and caused me to be hotter.Good but could be better.

Rather disappointed! Rather flimsy. No Sandlewood smell, no box, no tassell and no flower pattern on it. Still it is ok to keep in the bedroom. I got a different one for taking out!

Bought for rumba dancer costume so the pattern on the fan flattered my costume very well.the fan opened & closed easily, its just i was afraid to do so too much as felt it was slightly fragile as it was very fine though it was only £3 including delivery therefore would still say it was really good value for money.

Delivery was smooth and quick. this was kind of a spur of the moment purchase so I didn't read all the details, therefore I thought they would be bigger and that was a little disappointing. Other than that I love my new fans and am very glad to have bought them.

I feel guilty only giving 4 stars and I have only done this because the finish is very basic, they are effective and all still working.Excellent value for money and I would recommend to others
