DIRECTIONS FOR USE Just plug into a centrally located area unobstructed by furniture and other objects. Electromagnetic Feature The unit uses a new technology called “phase-shift-current”. By shifting the Electromagnetic field throughout the existing electrical wiring, this creates an uncomfortable environment that aids in the control of pests in the walls, ceiling, and floor where the majority of pest problems exist. This feature will work throughout your home wherever electricity is available. Ultrasonic Sound Features The unit incorporates dual speakers that create a harsh ultrasonic siren, inaudible to humans. See commonly asked questions for additional information on ultrasonic sound. Variable/Fixed Pitch Selector In the variable setting, the two speakers sweep within a range of ultrasonic sound frequencies, like two squalling and conflicting sirens. If set to the FIXED setting the speakers broadcast a single tone. You may hear the difference by pushing the TEST button. It is recommended first setting to the FIXED setting and changing to VARIABLE if adequate results are not met. Continuous/Random On-Off Selector The Random On/Off Setting automatically turns each speaker on and off randomly to keep pests from becoming accustomed to the ultrasonic sounds. This mode will use 50% less electricity. In the continuous setting, both speakers broadcast continuously. It is recommends first setting to the CONTINUOUS setting and changing to RANDOM ON-OFF if adequate results are not met. Floor Night Light Switch Switch the On/Off switch on the left side of the unit, to turn on/off Night Light. Test Button When the unit is plugged into a power outlet, pushing the test button will lower the ultrasonic frequencies to an audible human level. Pushing the test button will allow you to hear the different ultrasonic features. To avoid hearing damage, do not use the Test button for long periods of time and do not allow children to play with the test

Not really convinced it works.
Have to say, saw no evidence to prove this worked. I watched as the mouse just sat in front of it deciding which way to head for its next meal. Will kep it plugged in all the same just in case it does work against others. Have tried various settings but the mice still appear.

Don’t waste your money!
This product does not work at all...it has made no difference whatsoever. I note that the ‘return window’ has now closed - interesting!

Today I am reviewing the Pest Repeller plug in Whole House Ultrasonic Electronic Pest Control Rat Mouse Mice Spider Insect Deterrent (UK 3 Pin BS-plug) from PestExpel.I have tested some Pest Repellers in the past, and although I'm no "pest control expert" I do consider myself to be reasonably proficient with them.I was keen to test out this one, particularly as we have had a small infestation of ants in the house at the moment. Also, our cats do like to bring the occasional mouse into the house to 'play with', so it seemed like the perfect opportunity.We followed the included instructions, and plugged the Pest Repeller plug in into our Living Room plug socket, and waited to see what would happen. About an hour after plugging it in, we noticed a small colony of ants walking past.......not overly impressed so far.....A short time later (almost on cue), one of our cats bought in a small field mouse. The field mouse showed absolutely no interest in the repeller and just 'cowered' next to it (in fairness, it was just trying to 'escape' our cat), but the fact it was happy to sit so close to it did not inspire us with confidence.Perhaps the unit we received was faulty, or perhaps something else in the house is interfering with it (?), I don't know........but based on these 2 x events......I would not be willing to recommend this product at all based on my experience.We also felt the product looked a little dated compared to other products we have tested in the past (however, if the "results" of the product had been outstandingly good, then we would of course overlooked it's outdated looks).Your opinion of the product may vary from ours......As a small disclaimer, I am sent a LOT of products from various manufacturers/suppliers which I am sent to test/review in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Does what it says on the box

Bulky, but seems to do what it says on the box!
This device comes with good, easy to understand instructions.It allows two types of frequency (both inaudible to humans). One specifically targets animals (small rodents etc), and the other specifically targets insects (spiders etc).It has intermittent /random and permanent settings and instructions give you clarity as to how and when to choose these settings.I wanted to use this for a few days before reviewing, so that I could test it out. First impression was that the unit itself is a bit bulky and seems pretty basic in terms of technology, so would be suitable for a plug hidden behind a cupboard or something! Not something you necessarily want on show.I have placed it in my integral garage off my kitchen because insects etc. can get through gaps in the garage door sealings and spiders are a nuisance in the house too. I havent seen any spiders as yet but we are a bit out of season for that. What did suproise me though is that it seems to have had an effect on the small moths that seemed to have been plaguing us recently. I didn't realise the device might affect them too.. I have notice dramatically reduced moths in the garage and a number of dead moths found not just in the garage, but in the rest of the main house too.I am really pleased at this because I have spent a small fortune on moth balls throughout the house, so this is worth the investment !Pest Repeller plug in Whole House Ultrasonic Electronic Pest Control Rat Mouse Mice Spider Insect Deterrent (UK 3 Pin BS-plug)

Only need one item to rid your house from pests
I think this product is a great idea my reason for only a 4 star rating is that when the house is silent i can hear this device. I have to unplug of a night as this sound keeps waking me up. It is only a short burst of sound at a time. I havent really noticed any insects. Also my dogs ears go up when she hears the sounds and this isnt meant to effect dogs. This would be great if you can sleep through anything and dont have pets.I received this item free for my honest and unbiased opinion.
