CRAFTSMAN 20V MAX Cordless Drill Driver, 1/2 Inch Keyless Chuck, 2 Batteries and Charger Included (CMCD720D2)

After using a handful of Craftsman battery tools, I wouldn't recommend them in general over DeWalt, Makita, and Milwaukee, but if you've got some and trying to stick with the v20 system or whatever, this one really is great.I'm a homeowner who DIY's a lot and I had a NiCd battery DeWalt for about 15 years before its motor finally burnt up. Made all sorts of stuff. It was a great drill. During that time, I bought several batteries and omg, they're expensive; $79 a pop! However, NiCd is a thing of the past and all the new ones use lithium which is way better and my old batteries wouldn't even attach to anything that's out there, so I was back to square one on power tools. When I was out shopping, I talked to a guy at the hardware store about which one to get and we definitely talked batteries b/c they're going to fail or be weak after a year or so. He said these cheap Craftsman have batteries that are just as good, even better than others, so I bought myself the v20 Craftsman drill they had for like 70 bucks which is about half the price of a DeWalt and about the price of a DeWalt battery. Seemed like a good deal.So, I got other some other Craftsman tools and more batteries for them, but after a handful of uses, I figure out that drill was kind of a piece of junk. I'd firmly tighten the plastic gripped chuck and drill bits wouldn't really be locked in, but most of its use was with a hex shaped bit for driving screws so that wasn't a big deal very often. I could really crank on the chuck and get it tight enough. It had this cool little work light, but it was right under the chuck that would overshadow the work which was infuriating b/c when I'd need it in a dark spot, the light would be there shining on everything but the end of the bit lmao like why or how did anyone put the go ahead on producing them this way is beyond me! Well, it bit the dust in its first Summer on the old homestead while building a deck. The plasticky chuck broke driving a 3/8 inch thick ledgerlock screw wouldntcha know. No predrilling needed unless you got a junk drill I guess.. Spins fine, but when a screw sets and starts to need a little torque to drive further, it would stop spinning the screw and sit there making grinding sounds. What a piece of junk!I really didn't like that the Craftsman drill died so quick and was like, do I even stick with Craftsman? Sure, cheaper up front, but the early failure, having to stop, shop and spend more money to get another is not my cup of tea. That drill's kinda all-around trash and all the reviews say the same, but I'd started down the set of Craftsman tools and got all these batteries so I took a chance and got this upgraded version hoping it wasn't another mistake.Finally on to what I got. It's got a different and much better chuck than the other el-cheapo Craftsmans and the brushless motor should be much less susceptible to motor burn out which is what killed my trusty DeWalt. This one really is way better! Tightening the chuck absolutely locks bits in place and it seems real sturdy - much like my neighbor's Makita and what was on my old DeWalt. The light is in a different spot and actually shines on the end of the bit. It's noticeably a lot more powerful drill than the other one and it's shorter form factor is really nice for previously impossible to reach spots. Also, it came with the belt clip which is really handy. Much better than holding b/t my knees while I put something in place. So far, I like it and knock on wood, crossing fingers and prayers it'll last awhile.

My older Craftsman gave up the ghost after many years of good service. I purchased this Craftsman 20V MAX and am impressed it performs with the same high quality expectation I have for all Craftsman tools. Buy with Confidence

Me costó mucho trabajo encontrar el taladro inalámbrico poderoso y que en su relación poder / calidad / precio fuera el mejor. Si no necesitas que tenga roto martillo, esta es la mejor herramienta por su capacidad de torque. Obviamente la calidad es superior, con metal en lugar de plástico, solo porque está fabricada en los Estados Unidos. Craftsman como todos construyen para Estados Unidos calidad y para todo el mundo, menor calidad, checa las RPM, su torque y demás características, pero no en el sitio de Amazon porque aquí le ponen lo menos para que compres las otras, Sin lugar a dudas, como herramienta profesional esta es la mejor y a un mucho menor precio que las otras marcas, encontrarla me costó semanas.

El taladro es de buena calidad, funciona bien.Le doy solo una estrella porque de las dos baterías que incluye solo funcionó una. La otra batería no retiene la carga, marca error cuando la pongo a cargar.
