Shaving Soap to reduce irritation - Luxurious Shave Soap by Modern Day Duke with fresh Citrus & Neroli fragrance, the best cream to get rid of shaving bumps, rash and irritation

I'm a big shaving enthusiast and have a cupboard of creams, brushes and razors that get used on a daily basis and am always on the lookout for new products to try for the daily routine. This one isn't great, nothing to rant and rave about and not that good for the price.I substituted the usual excellent Taylors of Bond Street Jermyn Street Cream Collection for Sensitive with this today and the results aren't anywhere near as good. This does not lather up at all using a brush. It's runny and quite messy and you need a lot of it to get a proper layer, by which time your entire body and floor is covered in it. The Taylors cream lathers up like a dream and sticks well with a tiny amount but this is somewhat of a let down. Also, it does shave off quite easily but also leaves a feeling that you've just used water and a bit of cheap off the shelf stuff to shave and not a lot else.In terms of smell it's alright but not as luxuriously smelling as the Taylors stuff. It's supposed to reduce irritation and I guess it does but probably no more than any other natural sensitive cream and it doesn't have a lot of substantial feel to it. It's too watery and feels lacking in decent, creamy natural shaving ingredients like other natural shaving creams do.I guess it could be alright to mix in with your current shaving cream to make a cocktail of creams on the brush (as I do already) but as a standalone shaving product I don't think it's up to much.I'll keep it in the cupboard and use it every now and again I guess but won't be buying another when it's finished. There are many more, better natural creams in the same price range out there.

Took delivery of this product a couple of days ago, as soon as I received it I decided to test it. To be blunt I was very disappointed with the product especially seeing it is priced at over a tenner.My gripes are, I dislike the scent, the lather is crap, too watery & I don't think it reduces irritation. I will not be purchasing another, there are better products out there for a cheaper price.

This is a great shaving cream, I have sensitive skin and shaving can really irritate it, especially around my neck. This cream gave me a really smooth and moisturised feel with no irritation, it smells great too. Will buy again and would recommend to others.

My partner thinks this shaving cream is fantastic his skin feels so much better cut down on his in grown hairs and has eliminated his shaving rash. He has told his male colleagues on how good it is.

I knew this was a good cream when i went to splash some aftershave lotion on after my first shave, and there was no sting at all. Its whipped up into a fairly light lather. The essential oils prepare your skin and there is plenty of glide for your razor.The scent is light and fresh too.

I have returned to cream / brush after many years of using can-base shaving cream. The results are great, and although this cream is rather expensive, it certainly does the job. I'll be buying again!
