Fun and Festive Expansion
This is a fun and festive expansion for King of Tokyo that includes two new Halloween characters. There is also a new mechanic for “costumes” that your monster can “wear”. These costumes give the monsters unique abilities and an additional edge during gameplay. Each new character also includes evolution cards to play with the “Power Up” expansion (if you have it). There is also a set of orange dice which is nice to have so we don’t have to pass the dice along so much.

Good addition to base game
If you’re looking to mix up the base game with just a little something fresh, this is perfect. I could see this being a permanent fixture for when I take this game out. Also, the expansion probably takes like 2 extra minutes of rules explanation. Adds some nice asymmetry to each player as they progress down the track without letting someone just run away to an easy victory.

Text book case of how to do an expansion right
This is a great example of an add-on that adds lots of depth, fun and personality to the game, without adding much at all in terms of complexity. You now have a series of power-ups - special powers unique to each monster that work a lot like upgrades. If you roll 3 hearts, you get one. It's that simple. But at the same time, it adds a lot of strategery to the game, and suddenly the monsters now play different from each other. TL;DR - if you like playing King of Tokyo, you'll love playing it with this expansion.

Keep a good thing going
Out family loves this game, and the expansion gave it new interest and life. Great fun.

Love what it adds, sadly it is not enough
I like this game, I really do. Kaiju monsters and super creatures are awesome, the core idea of battling it out to be ruler of Tokyo and the strongest monster left standing is appealing and calls to me thematically. The game just doesn't deliver everything I need, for me it just plays too fast and many parts of the game just never come into play. Moving on to what this expansion adds though, it does a good job of delivering some fun additions. The Pandakai character looks good and the true important part of the expansion, the power-ups, deliver a nice twist to add to your games. Each of your battling monsters now have their own special powers to use during the game. These power-ups I think almost completely replace the often unused energy cards from the base game. So is this a good thing or bad thing? I always felt the base game and the energy cards just never worked out, it's one of my complaints with the game itself. So for this expansion to come up with an easier way to use "powers" is great, the expansion checks off the box for fulfilling that need. Here is where once again it fails to deliver for me. The powers, as fun as they are, just won't get used very much. You'll maybe get the chance to use one or two of them. Yes, you could certainly change the way you play and push your luck with your die rolls to constantly try to trigger your powers, while you're doing that though someone else will likely just cap out on victory points and end everything. I know King of Tokyo is supposed to be a fast game, so I cannot fault it or the expansion for delivering on that. Personally, I cannot get past how much content and mechanics are available in this game but never get used. The powers are so fun and offer up so many neat combinations, but the game as a whole plays too fast for you to really enjoy them. If you are unlike me and love King of Tokyo for what it is, get this expansion. If you're reading this review you almost certainly do already like the base game so you will add some great content for the price. Have fun ruling over Tokyo! Go Cyber Kitty!

Wicked, the Most Essential KoT Expansion
"Wicked" is my favorite expansion for KoT, and I highly recommend starting with it. Tying 1's and 2's to extra abilities makes dice rolls that previously felt rather dull feel incredibly exciting. One of my main issues with KoT is that 1/3 of the dice just felt rather underwhelming. If you're not going for Victory Points, 1/2 felt underwhelming, and if you're in Tokyo, 2/3 could. That is completely negated by the expansion, so no matter what you're going for, that part of the dice will feel relevant and exciting for you. After you get this one, I highly recommend "Power Up" so that all of the characters feel different. As that expansion buffs up defending, I'd next recommend the "Cybertooth" monster pack, as it adds a berserk mechanic (that works even without anyone playing as "Cybertooth") to buff attacking. I find there's not a lot to help take monsters out, so it gives a nice option for people who pick that play-style.

Fun to add to the monster box
I love the monster box and I like adding this with power up. Makes for more explosive and dynamic gameplay. Probably better to just stick with one or the other but it's fun to use both.

Essential
I can't play KOT without it. Great as a gift for those that only have the origin box or just the original 1st or 2nd edition. You unfortunately have to substitute other things to represent those monsters on the wicked board for some though. Don't know if that will change in the future though.

buena
excelente para expandir el juego. Ayuda a transportar la dinámica antes exclusiva de la versión obscura

Great addition to the base game
Great little addition to the game. Adds only a minor change to gameplay that makes some dice rolls a little more valuable and shakes things up a bit. Good quality as expected.

No está en Inglés.
Viene en español/castellano no en Inglés como muestran las imágenes. Pero de resto llego en perfecto estado, es muy divertido y agrega un vuelco muy interesante al juego original.

2nd edition of the 2nd expansion for King of Tokyo
I've included a host of photos to show what I'm talking about, the left hand side shows the new versions of the content. If you have already got the original version of this expansion then this really includes some altered artwork and rewording/ clarity on the text and rules otherwise its very much the same thing. It doesn't include any promo material like the original version did (a card for King of New York). This is the 2nd edition of the 2nd expansion but is completely compatible with the original King of Tokyo game. The contents include: Rulebook. 2 new monsters (Boogie Woogie & Pumpkin Jack). Evolution cards for both monsters, 8 each (you need the 1st expansion to use these). 6 Halloween dice, orange coloured which can replace the original black coloured dice or the upgrade green dice. 12 Costume cards. The new characters are cool but will behave very much like any other character until you use the evolution cards, in comparison to the original version Boogie Woogie has changed the most visually (Nightmare before Christmas anyone?) but Pumpkin Jack is slightly smaller in size too, aside from that thier evolution cards have the same effect except they're clearer to understand. The costume card rule is the more significant effect of the expansion, you start with one of the costumes during setup and as they act like power cards they will be shuffled into the power card deck. You can have your costume stolen by another player if they roll 3 attacks but you can also get more than 1 costume for your character too. That Zombie Pirate or Vampire Clown, you might have wanted, are now definitely a possibility! The box for this expansion is slightly deeper than the original so it is easier to store the contents and visually the whole package does look a bit sharper. As I said before if you already own the original you're not going to get much different, but if not, this is a decent expansion and worth adding to the collection. If not for the costumes then at least for the new monsters! I don't regret having this expansion, goes very nicely into my 'King of' collection.
