Great choice for a day pack. So light, comfortable and compact.
This was a replacement/ upgrade for an older bag, so had to be pretty perfect and it is! For just a couple of hours’ walk to a longer day, it’s big enough for extra layers, picnic, water. The stretch side pockets perfect for water bottles and it also has pole attachments. One small pocket for keys etc and one for everything else, unlike old bag which had so many, I could never find anything. I like the chest strap, which is useful if you’ve got a water bottle on one side only as it keeps the bag more level.Extremely light fabric, definitely an advance in technology, supremely comfortable and un-sweaty due to design and air back.This one looks almost beige in the photo, but in reality is pale green, which I really like.

Great little day pack
I’ve been using the Osprey Hikelite 18 for my day hikes, and it’s been great. It’s lightweight, sits comfortably on my back, and the breathable mesh panel makes a huge difference. It has just enough pockets to stay organised without feeling bulky. Highly recommended if you want a reliable daypack.

Great pack
REally light day pack. Loads of storage for an easy stroll in the hills. Only negative is 'white straps' for our Irish weather / when you put pack down they get dirty. Other than that, love it.

Most comfortable daypack ever
Sturdy, well made, with its own raincover and the ingenious way of keeping the weight from sitting on your back which means you do not get a sweaty back. Really comfortable and the 2 straps make it even more so. It seems small but it fits in everything you need for a day hike, including extra microfleece, hat, spare socks and gloves plus lunchbox, snacks etc. Drink pouches are nice and tall. Top small pocket has keyring to safely secure your car key as well as making them instantly accessible. Worth the extra money.

Quality and Comfort
Bought for my partner whole absolutely loves this. You pay extra for Osprey, but IMHO its certainly worth it. Well designed, well made and very comfortable. With the AirSpeed ventilation mesh it keeps the pack away from your back, so it's the ONLY system that keeps your back ventilated and cool and prevents sweating. A really nice piece of kit that will last years Worth the money.
