Great bit of kit. Used for my coal bunker, perfect size to get in little door at base. Little end heavy but suits my needs as rest of shovel is metal and very sturdy. Wooden grip at top that also seems well fixed.

Heavy shovel, it's a little short but pretty well made. I don't find it great for breaking ground, but it moves stuff really well with its huge blade.The shaft seems solid enough, with a delightfully brighter than brick red coating. I lost it for ten minutes in amongst a pile of bricks, so there is that...

Ok I'm not a builder or DIY-er but after using over the last 51 yrs various different spades and shovels made with either plastic or wooden handles I knew this time the shovel needed to be bomb proof as fed up of keep buying the darned things.So, I knew it may be heavier but it had to be a 'full metal' shovel for the robustness and longevity. This shovel is almost a thing of beauty, I even love the colour as it stand out amongst it peers. The shape of the blade is perfect and the shoulder is great for 'booting' if required. I did 15 manual cement mixes over 2 days and yes it a little heavier than a plastic or wooden one but I'd rather have the sturdiness when handling and shovelling cement.If (and I doubt it) I ever need another one then this IS IT.Great price for a really great piece of kit.

Second 1 of these puppies in 2 years , and gets used to dig footings and everything else I chuck at it. Best shovels I've ever used in my 22 years being a groundworker .faithfull til thee endAnd to be fair I'm only on my second 1 of these due to my house is in the midst of somewhere between having an extension and being a building site .
