I've been using this since Christmas eve and I'm already noticing improvements in my consistency waking naturally at the same time and getting off to sleep easier in the evenings. I don't care whether it's placebo or not, it's a healthy habit.I either place it next to me on the bed when I wake or on my desk, or both. Laying it on my bed allows me to get a higher dose of lux with it being around 30cm away in my peripheral vision and recieving 2000+.I was going to spen in excess of 80 quid on one of these, but I personally do not think it's necessary starting out, you'll mostly be paying just for the brand name I can't see how they would be any better for my needs.It's of decent build quality, has the light shades and four volumes for each one too.The timer is quite handy, I do use it as a guide.This also acts as a brilliant lighting option for your web cam too with the diffused light making this a versatile product.Honestly don't think you need to spend to much on one of these unless you're going for the larger more powerful options £150+. I'm pretty fussy but very happy with this purchase so it's 5* from me.The screen shot is using a lux meter app on my phone showing the LUX from around 30cm away.

This is a great light lamp, great value and arrived on time. I bought this for my mother who suffers from sad, she is partially sighted so we had to put some highlighted stickers on where the controls are so she can see them, the size is perfect and it has all the functions that she needs.

Very surprised how good this sad lamp its easy to use can adjust brightness and has different types of light settings and is definitely well made feels like a quality product

It’s not a bad product, it’s a light. I just wish I knew what settings were best for reducing SAD. No info relating to that.

Panergy Light Lamp 16000 Lux. Is perfect for me. Delivery was very quick and pack was robust . It came with the lamp,USB cable and Instruction Not that you need them. The Lamp itself is well made and light. You get the impression it will be difficult to do harm to . It has a hinged stand on the back which I actually use to hang over my desktop second screen. I do also stand it on other flat surfaces and its wonder full ,stable and with the long USB cable can be positioned anywhere you need. It has four timer settings and 3 Color settings and 4 Brightness Levels which is useful in the evening of you don't want it glaring at you. However even in use when you position it It wont be in your face and you only notice it when it switches off, The controls at the bottom do not seem to be the clearest marked and when the light is on (as it has to be for some settings) You do have to guess the position of the buttons Perhaps they could be darkened again the whiteness of the frame and light As to its reason for being S.A.D. lamp. This was almost immediate. The last week or so has been very dull and wet. This lamp brightened everything up. I do feel a little better. This Lamp did cost £27.99 I did look at the cheaper and more expensive options but for the price this is exactly what I need.The more expensive options do seem to offer more and fancier things but for the purpose I bought this for it is spot on. Cheaper ones did not have the range of colour or Brightness. and did not seem to be as adaptive as this Lamp.#There Is a bonus to this lamp as well as helping with My depression I can use it as a light for my photography and messing around with small modelsBE WARNED howeverWhen I first switched this on it tore the paint from my face, and was Blindingly bright

I think it did the job, kept me up and running last winter.

Great light, sadly stopped working after 3 months

The media could not be loaded. It's recommended that a light box needs to be at least 10,000lux , but when I tested the light with a light reader only the 3rd (our of 4) brightest reaches 10,000lux , but if you have it on the 3rd or 4th level, the light flickers... so you can either have the light dim and not get the right level of light needed to improve depression, or you can get the right amount but have a bright light flickering in your face for half an hour.The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because it technically works
