One Snowy Night

I purchased all I could find of this author and illustrator. The stories are about kindness and friendship and helpfulness in a world where our little ones learn too soon that people and situations are not always kind or friendly or helpful. Each book has created such an atmosphere of warm snuggly places for my granddaughters and for myself, some of the illustrations have evoked deep, old memories of the woods and fields I played in as a child. The word pathos comes to mind. Bittersweet. Sweet memories but a slight bitter awareness that it's long ago and far away.I love these books!

LOVE this book - Read it to my son since he was a baby & now he's 7 & we still love to read it together. After finding this one on Amazon that has the fuzzy feel I had to purchase it - the one I read to my son from the library did not have fuzz. This one is even better! My boy loves to read it now to his baby sister who loves to feel the fuzz as he's reading.

This is a really fantastic book. I have nothing but great thoughts about this book. Read it to my 2 year old. It had a great friendship message. Super cute and would recommend for a toddlers winter/weather book collection.

One Snowy Night was one of the Official Best Books in my pre-K classroom. On Fridays we used to review the new books we had read and each child would choose his favorite, putting his name sticker on a graph under a picture of his favorite book’s cover. Or hers. The kids loved this activity! They loved feeling that their opinions absolutely mattered. I would always post this for the parents so that those who were motivated to be awesome parents, or who had the time, yes I know, could follow up and order those favorite books from the library. And I would make a note to myself for the next year to bring these particular books.So One Snowy Night was a top choice of my 16 five year olds.I looked at all of the other books by this author, and this one was my clear favorite also.

I have been knitting felted hedgehogs and wanted a cute story book to give as gifts with the hedgehogs. This is a wonderful book and it has soft texture pages in the book for little children to touch. Great choice.

Very sweet story with wonderful illustrations. Although our 6 month old isn't able to touch the fuzzy hat. I'm sure she'll enjoy exploring the textures as she grows. A nice Christmas story about friendship & doing nice things for others.

El libro es de gran tamaño, tiene texturas como de terciopelo para que lo toquen los niños. El cd trae dos pistas, con el cuento leído en inglés y música alegre. Las ilustraciones son muy bonitas y llaman la atención a los niños.

Una storia molto semplice ma adatta a bimbi di 3-4 anni. In ogni pagina c è' L inserto in tessuto del cappello protagonista della storia.

Habe es mit meiner 3. Klasse nach etwa 4 Monaten Englisch-Unterricht gelesen. Es hat alle begeistert und sie möchten seitdem immer wieder neue Geschichten lesen. Die Figuren sind sehr süß illustriert und durch einige Wiederholungen innerhalb des Textes ist die Geschichte leicht verständlich. Ein tolles Buch für Kinder und Lehrer und mal etwas Anderes als Rudolph.

My children and I love reading this, another lovely book about the cute hedgehog in winter. His little red hat is soft to touch in the book. The images are bright and bold. Wonderful little story, which after a couple of reads, my 2yr old daughter now likes to read me the pictures.
