Possibly because of a relatively short screw before the shoulder on these bulbs I found that they could not always be screwed fully home so that they failed to make electrical contact and hence to work. In fact, I can only use them in one of my three table lamps. In that lamp (bought from ALDI) they are fine. I cannot use them in the other two lamps, both bought, I think, from IKEA. LATER: I think I know now what is the problem. The bulbs have an unusually long nose for the centre contact. On some E14 sockets the side contact extends only a short distance up the screw and the long nose prevents the bulb from being screwed in far enough to make electrical contact on the side.

Although beautifully bright, there is a noticeable flicker to the light these lamps emit. It is most noticeable with fast movement, e.g. when stirring or frying: take note if you are sensitive to that!Otherwise very happy with these, hence the four star rating.

Works nice to begin with but within a year many bulbs have faded output considerably. They are used in salt lamps which are on ~12 hours a day on a timer. Disappointed as LED lights are supposed to be highly competent and extremely long-lasting - of course if you don't count low light output as a failure mode!

Neither of these devices worked in either of my E14 wall lamps, out of the box, but after reading in some of the reviews that these devices suffered from "dimensional difficulties" I investigated further and discovered that the problem was not that they or their threads were too short, but that the protruding central contact was too long. I had anticipated needing to add a blob (technical term) of solder, but what I actually needed to do was file it down about 0.5mm--which allowed the devices to be screwed in fully and make proper electrical contact. E14 lamps with different contact configurations should work fine, which explains why many reviewers had no problems, but I suspect some of the others who have had "dead bulbs" had, like me, working LED devices which were unfortunately manufactured to be slightly too long in one dimension.Once I'd got them working, these devices worked very well, emitting warm, bright light, and I hope they last a long time.

I used it to replace my broken refrigerator light. I have to say that it is much brighter than the original light bulb. And the color of the vegetables inside the refrigerator seems to be more real. It should be that the high CRI value of the LED has an effect. But you have to pay attention when replacing the bulb, because it is not waterproof. Although it is not designed for refrigerators, it can still be used in the refrigerator.

Even though E14 bulbs, still seemed SES screw would be too small!! Absolutely fine, tried them in table lamp first which takes ses E14 bulbs, and then also where I bought them for, entrance hall light. This has four screws to take cover off, so tried in regular E14 set lamp first, before pulling the entrance hall light apart. Came on immediately (had one of the low energy bulbs still in there), good and bright, and A+ led. MMMM impressed ............ Bright.

First one died after 9 months, and the second a year later. Whilst they work just as described, they don't seem to last very long at all. Other than that they give off a lovely warm light. They worked brilliantly in my salt lamp!

Very sleek design! I love the fact that unlike a lot of other energy saving light bulbs, this lights up instantly, and doesn't have to warm up first, to get the maximum glow. For such a small bulb, it gives out a lot of light!
