This set contains refill pack to grow your own bird grass: a pack of grass seeds, a plastic rectangular dish and soil (vermiculite). Vermiculite is a non-toxic and virtually mould-free mineral clay, which stores water that is then slowly released, providing a constant source of water for the little germinating plants. Pictorial and written sowing instructions are provided. This tasty grass seed mixture provides diverse agricultural forage grasses and clovers. Nine varieties of high-quality grass seed and early ryegrass: Ryegrass Medium, Ryegrass Timothy, Red Fescue, Sainfoin, Red Clover, White Clover and Alfalfa bring fresh healthy greens as a natural vitamin supplier in their favourite diet. Thus it is a varied, healthy and natural food for birds. It is rich in natural vitamins, minerals and trace elements. The germination of grass seed mixture occurs after 3-5 days. Ready for eating after another 12-14 days*. * Lighting conditions and room temperature can affect the growth times. Instructions for use: Distribute seeds on the soil and moisten with 50 ml of water. Put the lid loosely on the try but do not snap shut. Put in a bright room, warm place and remove lid at a height of grass at 1 cm. Keep the soil constantly moist until the harvest.

Fantastic, budgies loved it
What a great idea and the grasses really grow thick and lucious. Well that is how my budgie chico described it. 😀It took a few days for the birds start to like it, now they really chomp and love it.

really nice product and easy to grow
really nice product and easy to grow. The grass feels slightly rubbery. My 2 budgies did nibble away at the strands but were too scared to jump onto the perch for it (hence the 3 stars for me but that might just be my birds). Great that you get 2 packs of seeds. Hopefully they will be more keen on the next batch.

My budgie loves this grass patch
I bought my Mucki grass from elsewhere but I'm writing the review here because my budgie loves it, he's very young and resisting veg and fruit so far, but once the grass grew (only a few days) I popped it in, within a few hours he was already nibbling (he's an inquisitive cheeky little thing heh).It comes with 2 trays, and and the vermiculite and seeds separately wrapped in bags, it's easy to spread the seed over the vermiculite, I filled with some water and left on the windowsill for a couple of days, there is visible clover and a lovely patch of grass.The white tray is plastic, the perch is quite thin but I'm just using the tray on the bottom of the cage as the holder itself doesn't fit well on his cage, the red metal isn't bent equally on both sides, but that doesn't bother me because I want him to explore the lower levels and in real life grass is on the ground. I sprinkle his seed in the grass for him to forage for too. Will buy again!
