I bought this as a gift for my wife, unsure if she would like to write with a fountain pen. Not to worry, she loves it. The workmanship is remarkable at this price point. It writes smoothly, no blobs or skips and no leaks! Edges are finished smooth with no burrs or rough spots. The design and aesthetics are superb. The pen is a tiny work of art!

The converter took several tries to take ink but that's happened to me before with a converter that's never been filled before. The writing feels a bit scratchy, but again, not unusual in a new pen and usually goes away as the nib 'breaks in'. All-in-all, for less than $30 this seems to be a great buy.

Nice pen, not as good as the N23, but overall it writes smoothly and is attractive.

I just received my Maple Leaf pen, and I am in love. It is beautiful. I inked it with Diamine Writer's Blood ink; it writes beautifully, and I love the ink color. I am new to acquiring fountain pens, and now I am about to enter the world of acquiring additional ink colors. When I became interested in fountain pens, I watched several YouTube videos and thought pen people are nutty; now I am beginning to understand the obsession.

Very nice pen for little money. Writes smoothly and comfortable in my hand. Nice ink converter…can see ink level. Much better than “piston” type converter.

Nice pen design. The ‘gold’ leaf will probably wear off over time, but it’s good for the price. Nib was good out of the box: generous ink flow, nice line width variation between vertical and horizontal strokes. I polished mine to be a little smoother on the page.

I'd had this in my Save For Later list. Then it went on sale on Prime day. It's a beautiful pen and writes well. It posts securely, but is a bit back heavy. Reverse writing is surprisingly good, smooth with a super fine line. An excellent pen, especially for the price.

Expected more from this pen based on you tube videos viewed. It’s a very pretty pen and it does have an ebonite feed. I ordered a medium, it wrote more like a scratchy fine point. The pen also had hard starts which I did not expect from an ebonite feed. Disappointed!

El nib (o plumilla) es horrible y hubo que modificarlo. No recomiendo este producto. La marca JINHAO es mucho mejor.

This is the greatest pen for a Canadian. Awesome colors, perfect weight in the hand, I just love it. When I ordered it, the only nib size available was the Medium. Unfortunately, for me, the Medium nib writes a little too big and wet for my liking. I contacted the vendor and he offered to sell me a replacement Fine nib assembly. I accepted and ordered it. So it's on its way now. The pen still writes well on thicker paper and with a very light touch. I did order another one with the fine blade nib. Love love that awesome pen.
