Great little ash box for next to my fire, saves me from having to go outside every time to empty the ash. Holds a surprising number of days ash, and fits nicely next to the fire. Really sturdy construction and I think it will last well. Great product

The ash box is as described. It was bigger than I imagined and I have given it away as it will not fit where I wanted it on our narrow boat.

I bought this two years ago and, at the time, thought it was good quality. However, in reality it’s not been very durable. Much of the black enamel has peeled off, the lid and seams are heavily rusted and the hinges are on their last legs. I had bought a plain galvanised one, several years earlier which is in a far better state. Buying this lovely shiny, black ash can seemed like such a good thing to do, but what I gained in looks, I lost heavily in durability and so I’m going to go back and buy a plain and simple galvanised one again as a replacement.

Good quality ash carrier. Means I can tip the ash out of the ash tray without the usual ash cloud as you can put it straight in and close the lid then wait a few seconds and lift the tray back out.It also cuts any risk from any sneaky hot embers in the ash.

Perfect for empty an ash pan in to as its so long. It can take the heat too. Perfect.

Item arrived with defect to one of the hinges on the lid which hadn’t been spot welded therefore compromising its use, obviously quality control not in operation! It was just easier for my husband to fix than have the hassle of returning.

Really pleased with this, it will store a weeks ashes, so i can take the ashes outside on a still day!!
