AMAZING - PERFECT IN EVERY WAY
THIS WAS THE SINGLE BEST UPGRADE I'VE EVER DONE TO MY MAZDA.Android Auto works VERY fast and consistently. Works better than a 2023 Mazda CX-9's Android Auto that I recently rented. The UI is somehow more intuitive as well. Can't speak to Apple (hisssss) Carplay performance.HIGHLY recommend.

Exactly as described
Wow, super impressed with this. The video they link to is less then 20 minutes for install. Actually took me an extra 10 minutes, so not too bad. The video was cery easy to follow and to repeat on my Mazda. Quick and easy. New hub works great, and Android Auto fires up immediately. Loving it so far. My USB cable is jot getting me fast charging, need to upgrade my cable. But works as described and again install so so easy.

Fantastic and easy adapter! Highly recommend
This adapter worked fantastic! Super easy to install. Be sure to get started on the Mazda updates before it arrives! That is the most time consuming portion of the process.

Carplay is great, worth the clunkiness
It was great to retro-add carplay to my 2016 CX-5. But sometimes there are WiFi and/or Bluetooth connectivity issues at car start-up; especially if two iphones are nearby. Also Mazda in North America locks-out actual touch screen use and the navigation knob gets a little clunky.

Works great for aftermarket - very pleased
When you haven’t started the car in a while, it does take a few seconds for the CarPlay to connect but nothing crazy. Super simple to install. I’d say the hardest part is removing the old usb hub. What I found to work though was removing the face plate with a couple picks in the sd card opening. Then you are able to access the four clips that need to be depressed. I actually shoved a paper clip in the four openings once I got the clip depressed. I was then able to just work the hub out with a pair of pliers. Probably sounds complicated for some clips, but it worked out great. Other than that, smooth sailing. You’ll have some extra cord, I just wrapped it up with a zip tie and secured it to some plastic behind the kickplate on the passenger side floor. Everything works great with the control knob, touchscreen, and voice commands. All fitments are nice and tight as well. Highly recommend.

Great upgrade for my ‘17 Mazda Miata Club
My ‘17 Mazda Miata Club didn’t have Apple CarPlay and it drove me nuts. I got this, had the dealer update the radio firmware and watched the install video on YouTube. Install is straightforward and the video walks you through it.Overall very happy. No issues with connection, and I now have full CarPlay, Spotify works great, navigation is super. I did add a backup camera also while I had the dash apart as I was right there. These two additions made up for the shortcomings of the ‘17’Model year. This looks exactly like the OEM unit, you can’t tell any difference. Would highly recommend

DO NOT BUY
Advertises that it fast charges and that it recognizes OEM Mazda GPS. It does neither.I sent a message to customer service complaining that it wasn't fast charging, and they admitted that it couldn't.Then two months later I needed to use the car's GPS because I didn't have service on my phone, and I realized the module wouldn't recognize the SD card, and now it's restarting the infotainment system constantly.Of course this conveniently happens after the 30 day return policy. If you buy, make sure you report issues early so they can't hide behind their return policy.

Definitely worth doing and only took 30 minutes.
Can’t believe I waited this long to add this to my 2016 Mazda 3. Took about 30 minutes to install the software the night before. The next day I drilled the clips out of the old hub (YouTube Video titled Mazda CarPlay Hack) and had everything installed and buttoned back up in less than 30 minutes.

Simply Awesome!
I’ve been wanting to add this to my 2016 Mazda 6 for a while. Finally got around to doing it. Was always intimidated to take the required parts off the car but it was waaaaay simpler than I anticipated. The pieces unsnap very easily. Lots of youtube videos showing how. I had the Mazda dealership update the infotainment firmware….well worth the $65. Having the dealership update the firmware makes this installation process stress free. It took me around 45 minutes to install the unit, and that was taking my time. If I had to do it again I think it would only take 10 minutes.PRO’s: 1) wireless so no need to pull my phone out when getting in the car. 2) all the Mazda buttons work, and control knob, to scroll through the apps 3) easily installed 4) instructions included to show which color wire goes where 5) makes the car look more modern and up to date 6) now have lots off options for navigation compared to Mazda’s horrible and outdated nav system 7) maps will always be up to date 8) Siri works flawlessly, Mazda’s voice commands worked about 1% of the time!!! 9) foam sticky tape included to wrap the wires so there’s no chance of a rattle later 10) zip ties included for fastening the new wires…..however I didn’t use any. 11) first time connecting to my phone was straight forward and simpleCONS: 1) NONE

Franchement bien.

Easy to fit. Works well
Easy to install. Works perfectly except won't work with the touch screen. Not an issue as the dial is easy to use and it links to the voice button on the steering wheel. Works best with Spotify for the music streaming.
