Small red button underneath station
Bought this product after a friend had previously purchase this from maplin for about £10 more . I years before purchased a Sata only docking station which has worked really well over the years .. My reason for buying this station was obviously for the IDE element . I at first only used it for the sata element which worked flawlessly . I then tried to use it for the IDE feature and found I had considerable difficulty in seating the drive it wasn't till I looked at the underneath of the drive and saw there was small switch red switch and adjusted that was I able to seat the drive , if I have missed this in the instruction I apologise to the seller . The instruction are not the best I have seen in my time but they deal more with back up options etc are far as I can see . I hope this review will help anybody else who is having similar problems .Thought I might add this , I have used a WD IDE drive in this docking station works fine for me .

Works as advertised
Works as advertised. Plugged in a couple of old IDE drives, powered up and windows 10 saw it straight away. I thought these drives were dead so I'm pleasantly surprised. Knocked off a star because the software to download, does not allow you to choose where to install it. Good value for money so lets see how long it lasts....EDIT 31/07/2017 This does work with a Western Digital IDE drive I had, so I'm pleased. I was able to transfer the contents of an old hard drive to a new all-in-one pc so very easily. Could'nt have done it without this handy device as the AIO PC only had usb ports

Works well, great value.
I need to access files on a couple of old drives so went for this.Well worth the money. Windows 10 saw it straight away so didn't need the driver cd.I put an IDE drive one side and a Sata the other and both worked well and I am using it as a backup device for now.So far all is well and the build quality is fantastic for the price.UK plug supplied, ready to go out of the box.

Awesome.
This is a great investment. I had an old hard drive from a PC that I couldn't read and thought I had effectively lost all the info (after the PC broke) so finding this is great. Also, for only £20 its great multi-purpose docking station for all devices like USB, SD etc. so its useful thing to have.

Easy to set up and use
Bought to replace an old adaptor, this is far better than my old one, easy to set up, connect 2 drives at the same time (1 x IDE and 1 x SATA), built in card reader, excellent, would recommend

Doesn't work.
Doesn't work, Need drivers updating. The link provided doesn't give you the right drivers. Would be a nice bit of kit if only there was more software support for it.

I have to wedge it in place
Does what it says it can, but i have to wedge one drive into position. Inserting it, it wants to lean forward, but if it does that the dock de-registers that there's a drive there. Wedging it in so it remains upright keep it registered.

No Good
Can't get it to work It will read the computer but a no go when I put in an old hard disk drive. It's the most expansive card reader that I have ever bought
