Trolley has nice detail, works well when track is properly connected. A little pricey.
Read the instructions. Look at the track connectors, they are marked A or B. The 2 sections of straight track with A/B ends belong at the end by the bumpers. Connect all the A tabs together and the 2 B tabs to the bumpers. Once I read the instructions the Trolley worked perfectly.This will also run on a 5 watt 2+ amp phone charger. I ran my Trolley for at least 1 hour to make sure it was good and I did not detect any overheating and it ran at the same speed as with the AA batteries.

Works best with included trolley
I wish this set was not battery operated. The included trolley works best with the AA battery pack but not well with other Bachmann auto reversing track sets. The trolley in this kit must have be designed to run on this set specially. An option to be able to slow the trolley and/or lengthen the pause time would make the product a 5 star.

Excellent
Just what I needed for my village display. Used a power bank to power it up. Makes it run longer than just the battery pack.

AWESOME TROLLEY
Excellent trolley, works perfectly even with added track. Had three running in various areas on huge Christmas Village display. Super addition to display. Recommend this product to anyone looking for a trolley/train for their project.

Worked for 1 Christmas
Nice looking set but it only reversed for 1 Christmas. The second year it would not reverse and there was no solution from Bachmann. I ordered two replacement A/B tracks and it still doesn't work. I don't recommend this product.

Switching track stopped working.
So after 5 years of one month a year use the switching diodes on the circuit board under the track that has the power are failing if the runs for more than 10-20 seconds in one direction. I’ll try to get a replacement track or circuit board (I can desolder it myself). Otherwise it runs on only two tracks.

Got item yesterday, love the way it works. Tracks easy to snap together and the fact it runs on battery is nice.My set up has soo many electrical connections, its nice to see it doesn't require it. Very pleased ...
