Q: Can I cut the wooden hanger bar in half? I want to hang these in a window the is 48" wide. I would need 1.5 curtains for each window.

Yes you can very easily to shorten the width by simply cutting the 1x2" wooden hanging bar. We find the easiest cleanest cut is achieved using a small hacksaw like the ones sold at many dollar stores.

Q: Can this be hung outside on a deck area?

I suppose so. But not where it’s too windy, may do some harm, not the least of which would drive you crazy with the noise.

Q: Are these able to be used outside in a damp climate?

Wet climate outdoors probably won't last too long because the cords supporting the beads are fiber. Repeated exposure to wet climate (rain) will not be optimal in my opinion. However, if not exposed to rain, I don't think that it will be a problem. This is a high-quality, heavy duty beaded curtain that would be appropriate in any decorative situation. I have had many of these bamboo curtains over the years and this is absolutely the most high-quality that I have ever seen. Restaurant, book store, yoga studio, spa, home use...you won't be disappointed, I assure you.
