Q: Is copper supposed to be in solution to be effective? If yes, how to keep the copper in solution after application?

As far as I know the plant absorbs the mixed solution that has been applied to plant. Any left over solution after application, I throw it away. I do not feel that left over solution sitting on a shelf for a period of time, would be as affective as a fresh mix. Hope that answered your question.
