Affordable oyster shucker with plastic handle.
I bought this shucker after destroying an OXO paring knife while opening an oyster. The blade is nice and thick, and the rounded edge at the tip makes it easy to get between the oyster shell. The plastic grip is comfortable and fits sturdily on the hand while shucking.

Shucks
I've eaten plenty of oysters. I've never shut one before this. I watch plenty of videos on how to do it. This shucking knife did the job. Since it takes quite a bit of torque to open an oyster, I question whether this shucking knife will last through hundreds of oysters, since this was a relatively inexpensive one. There are shucking knives out there that are way more expensive. But so far, this did the job.

It's okay
It's just okay. Price is cheap $7 plus tax. Doesn't do the job well. It's not sharp so can't cut yourself. It's just about as thin as my better USA shucking knife. So it's the design that's probably the issue. The Rockland doesn't go into the hinge. It's smooth and blunt at the tip and sides which makes it difficult to shuck. I jabbed myself MANY times using the Rockland on my first use whereas the USA white one I've never once hit myself with over dozens of uses. I've used regular sturdy knives and they work way better than this thing. You get what you pay for, cheap for cheap.
