Consistently Interesting
This takes the form of a murder mystery as the main character, Freya, must find out who poisoned the old court to convince the Kingdom that she didn't do it so that she could be Queen. Freya has great relationships with her friends in this book, and develops a slow burn romance with the bastard son of the old King. It's also a nice change that she is incredibly smart and creative, and her interest in science helps her to solve the mystery. It was a different concept, and I definitely recommend giving this book a read.

I really enjoyed this novel
I really enjoyed this novel. I like the fact that it's a stand alone YA book, since most of the YA books I see are usually part of series. The main part I liked was the intrigue of who committed the murders. The characters were also quite developed too.

Incredibly clever!
This was incredible! This book was gifted to me for my birthday and I'm incredibly grateful for it!Freya is a fantastic MC! She definitely has some issues with self confidence and it only makes us love and support her more. With a pinch of slow burn romance built it this book was an incredible political, murder mystery fantasy. It's very cleverly written and I did not see the revelation at all!!I'm gutted it's a standalone book because I'd love to see how everything developed afterwards but regardless, an incredible book. Highly recommend.
