Bought the Isar over a year ago since it looked great. Have used it maybe 10 times since then to travel. Pretty much unused so far. while I was travelling this week the main zipper completely come undone symmetrically from both sides of the pack (see picture). This would only be possible because of a defective zipper and not wear abs tear. Sent picture to seller but was unhelpful. First Sportique told me seller warranty is only valid for 30 days, which is fine. But when I asked to help sort this through the manufacturer they washed off their hands by telling me to contact Cote e Ciel. Let me tell you this is not how you treat customers. as to the Isar, it’s just a pretty bag. Upon googling, apparently the Isar has had this very same issue for a while and Cote and Ciel has been sending replacement zippers to (some) customers who were insistent enough. Only issue is that the local store asked $200 to replace the zipper just in labor. I have not heard from Cote and Ciel yet but as a minimum would expect a refund or a replacement for a $250 backpack barely used and that has a pathetic 1 year warranty despite the high price of the bag. the rest of the industry gives lifetime warranties on backpacks that cost half (see Wandrd). Cote and Ciel, take note.
