A perfect, flexible container to protect produce!
For some reason, both of my fridges accelerate the breakdown of leafy produce and things like carrots. I purchased a hard plastic produce/herb container but before using it, bought this Lettuce Keeper. This simple Lettuce Keeper bag works perfectly to maintain freshness and delay deterioration of lettuce. It is easy to clean and flexible to fit onto a crowded refrigerator shelf. This is a storage gem no-brainer! BTW, the hard plastic produce/herb container still sits unused but it may come in handy one day....

Cool Bag!! Easy to Use/Clean; Lettuce Stays Fresh!
We have used the bag several weeks and it is keeping lettuce fresh over 5 days at least; we use up lettuce weekly since we do eat lettuce almost daily so I havenโt seen any funky, wilted lettuce. So far we stored organic red leaf lettuce, Romaine and also this week dumped in a bag of pre-washed organic Bibb. Before putting an unwashed bunch of lettuce into the bag, we rinse the leaves and pat dry with a paper towel; then rollup to dry in a spongy veggie drying mat from Whole Foods. I wanted to get rid of my old plastic spinner. The value of this new lettuce bag is fine. We like that it takes up less space than a spinner and is light-weight. And I love having less plastic! After using up the lettuce, we rinse out the bag, dry with a paper towel and then turn the bag inside out and hang to further dry over night b4 adding new lettuce. We are very satisfied and recommend! The string is long, so I roll it up and clip with a little plastic clip.

Definitely worth it!
Foil lined. Keeps lettuce fresh for a lot longer. I was gone recently for two weeks, forgot I left lettuce in bag and when I returned, apart from a few leaves on the outside, the rest of the lettuce was still good - romaine hearts. I also have the one for bananas. Highly recommend.

Use your vegetables.
They work very good. But you know you still leave lettuce or bananas for a long time.

Seems good so far but only have used it a few days.
It is not like the previous one we had that got scorched. The verdict is still out. Banana bunch does fit.

Makes your bananas go bad much faster.
At first, I thought this bag was working. That was until I did an experiment with several bunches of banas in a row, splitting them up so that half would be inside the bag, and half outside. As far as making your bananas last longer... not a chance. Consistently, the bananas left out of the bag would last several days longer than the ones left in the bag. And, not only that, but the ones inside the bag had a tendency to fall apart in my hand as I tried to peel them. Once inside the banana, the center was incredibly mushy, while the ones left out were still relatively firm. The bananas would also be extremely moist as I pulled them out, being unable to properly breathe inside the bag. Honestly, this is mostly a gimmick in my opinion, and I would never actually try to use the greens bag to put any vegetables or lettuce in, as it would likely suffer the same fate as the bananas did. I'm writing this review now, because I just had to throw a whole bunch of bananas away right now because they went bad inside the bag in less than a week. Don't spend your money on this product, it doesn't actually work based on my experiments, and in fact could end up raising your food bill as you food goes bad before you can get to it. If you want to make your food last longer, just put it in the fridge like people have always done.
